The Chillicothe Police Department, with assistance from the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Ross
County Sheriff's Office and logistical support from the Dayton Police Department, conducted a 2 day operation on
May 16 and May 17 aimed at reducing prostitution in our city.
The Chillicothe Police Department is well aware and concerned about the relationship of prostitution and
human trafficking. This operation and operations like these will continue in an effort to reduce those attempting to
promote sex trafficking in our community.
This operation had much success, as we were able to arrest eleven (11) individuals. Ten (10) of the subjects
arrested were charged with soliciting sex for money. The Chillicothe Police Department was also able to recover a
firearm and cash as a result of these investigations.
