CDA Lesson Plan Form

Say the letter or the word in a silly monster voice. Make the child search for the
word or letter. Or you could grab one of the cards with the word on it: Chicken,
and make them find the letters, and feed it to the monster.
Procedures:
Modeling/Guided Practice: (show, follow me)?
You could model by grabbing one of the letters or words, and spelling it out and
putting it in the monster.
Checking for Understanding (specific questions you will ask)?
Can you spell out the word or Point to a letter and ask them what sound the letter
makes or what the letter is.
Independent Work
The children could work by themselves with you as the teacher. Another option for
them is that could work together with a classmate and spell the words together.
Closure/Transition:
When the children are done, put the letters and words into a baggie, so the letter
and words dont get ruin.
