Tape
Procedure (should be specific and have a timeline):
10:00-10:05am:
Students will complete a pre-test on their knowledge of bullying
10:05-10:15 am:
Activity #1: Students will have an in-class discussion with the counselor on; what
bullying is, what does bullying look like, and how does bullying make people feel?
The counselor will ask the students if they know what each are and will write the
students definition on the board, then the counselor will give the exact definitions
and examples for the students to write down so they have the information for the
next assignment.
10:15-10:30 am:
Activity #2: Students will create posters with the information discussed in the in-
class discussion. The students will be put in groups of 3 with peers that they do not
normally work with. The students will be given instructions that the posters must
say what bullying is, how does bullying look, and how does bullying make people
feel? Once they have put on all the required information, they can get creative with
the posters by including anything else that they think is needed.
10:30-10:35 am:
Activity #3: Once the posters are complete, the students will go around school and
hang up their poster boards on the walls. The reasoning for hanging the posters
around the entire school is to raise bullying awareness and so all the other students
can see what bullying is, what bulling looks like, and how bullying makes people
feel. Each group will be assigned a hallway in the school to hang their poster.
10:35-10:40am
Students will complete a post-test on the information they learned throughout this
lesson

Plan for Evaluation

(How will each of the following be collected?)

Process Data:
The lesson Stomp Out Bullying lesson is going to discuss what bullying is, what
bullying looks like, and how bullying feels. Students will also get the opportunity to
create a bullying poster to raise awareness around the school. The lesson is about
40 minutes in length and there will be 100 4 th grade students at Audubon
Elementary participating.

Perception Data:
Students will be given a pre-test on what they think bullying is and then after the
lesson is completed they will be given a post-test on what bullying is.

Outcome Data:
Based on the survey, 75% of students will understand what bullying is and they will
know ways to stop bullying. Discipline referrals from bullying will decrease by 40%
one month after the last activity has been completed.

Follow Up:
Follow-up surveys will be conducted 3 months after the final lesson has been completed.
These surveys will determine if students mastered the competencies of the lessons or did
not master. If a student did not master, the school counselor will do a review of the lessons
that were completed with the student. If a student was absent on the day the lesson was
presented that student will either participate with another class, or that student will meet
with the guidance counselor to have a one on one lesson.
