Lecture: Fundamental principles and concepts about the normal
Course Description functions of major organ systems; Organization of the body into
different systems; recap on blood physiology, homeostasis,
physiology of the urinary system and sense organs.

Practical: Blood sample collection, blood cell differentiation and


differential count, packed cell volume, erythrocyte sedimentation
rate, and fluid transport across membranes, and examination of
normal urine parameters.

Course objectives At the end of the course students will Know the normal
physiological activities of major organs and systems,
Be able to describe normal constituents of urine, rumen and
relevant enzymes
