    KUTAK ROCK LLP Mr. Rod Wheeler Capital Investigations Rich Family - Cease and Desist May 18, 2017 Page 2 ‘The Family has leamed that you have violated the Agreement at least by performing additional services for other parties that are related to the murder of Seth Rich, and by making unauthorized public statements concerning the investigation. We understand that you have admitted to performing such additional services and making such unauthorized statements, and we and the Family are concemed that you and Capital Investigations may continue to violate the Agreement by future actions ansd statements. ‘As you were aware at the time you entered into the Agereement, the murder of Seth Rich is a personal and highly-traumatic matter for the members of his Family. Your statements and actions have caused, and continue to cause, the Family severe mental anguish and emotional distress. Your behavior appears to have been deliberate, intentional, outrageous, and in patent disregard of the Agreement and the obvious damage and suffering it would cause to the Family. ‘Your improper and unauthorized statements, many of which ate false and have no basis in fact, have also injured the memory and reputation of Seth Rich and have defamed and injured the reputation and sianding of the members of the Family. You are hereby directed to immediately and permanently CEASE AND DESIST from making any statements concerning Seth Rich, the murder of Seth Rich, the public investigations of the murder of Seth Rich, or any of your knowledge or activities concerning Seth Rich, his murder, or the investigatations thereof. Please, by email to me in no more than three days after your receipt of this letter, acknowledge that you will, immediately and permanently, cease and desist all such activities and statements, Address any and all future correspondence or commuications concerning Seth Rich, the Agreement, or this letter to this Firm, and not members of the Family. ‘The Family, by this letter or otherwise, reserves all of its rights and claims against you and Capital Investigations arising from or related to any past or futures statements or actions. truly ys tome Maa fy -
