The amsterdam connection

-The first chapter starts with Kate Jensen and Max Carson drinking a
beer in the Queens Head, a typical central London pub. Kate Jensen
was a news reporter in Daily Echo, and Max was Kates friend and ex
boss. In that moment they were talking about a lot of things for
example their current Jobs, what kind of thing they are doing now, the
time they worked together, and they also talk about Dave Balzano, he
was the editor of Daily Echo, he was excellent but he was angry with
his reporters, he aws famous for his bad temper.
Max Carson told Kate that he had retired from a job in england and he
had returned to Holland, he was born there and now he was living
there. Max brother, Tom Carson was the owner and manager of
Roterdam city football club, Max started to help his brother with the
business and he had about 25 percent of the shares.
Kate said that she was really tired of her Job because she had had
some difficult murder stories and Dave Balzano was pushing her to

In that moment Max asked Kate if she wanted to come to Holland and
write a story about his football team, she said that she only writes
about crimes. Two days after of that reunin Max Carson was founded
lying dead in an amsterdam Street with twenty knife wounds in his
body.
-In the second chapter Kate was talking with Rick, he was his friend
and another news reporter, they were talking about Maxs death, and
what was the truth about that, waht really happened. Kate said that
Max was really special for ehr because he saved her life. Many years
before Max was her editor and he gave her a story about a crime
where a gang tried to steal the things of the house of a man and in
that fight that man died, the problema was that, that guys were part
of Johnny Mc Graw gang one of manchesters most dangerous
criminals. There were witnesses bt nobody wanted to talk because
they were scared because Mc Graw. Mc Graw kenw that kate was
following him and trying get information, so he putted Price to her
head 25 000 euros if someone kill her.
One day day Kate went out and Mc grau caught her, fortunately Max
knew where kate was, so he made and Arrangement with McGraw and
he let her go.
Kate talk with his boss, Dave Balzano, and she ask him if she could go
to Amsterdan, and see what really happened with Max, at first he
didnt want to, but then he accepted
-In the thrid chapter Kate went to Amsterdan, and she met with Elly
Van Praag, a dutch policewoman, she was her friend, she met her 2
years ago when she had to write an story about an english criminal in
holland.
They talk about maxs crime, they thought that it was just a mugging
that went wrong, elly gave Kate a card that she found in maxs
pocket, there was a name and an adress there,, Jos van essen, he was
one of the greatest footballers of all time.
-In the fourth chapter Kate Jensen went to tha apartment of Jos van
essen, and they talk about Max, they were close Friends, Jos said that
he had some drinks with Max in a bar the day that he died, he said
that he had a dinner with someone and he took a taxi and left the bar.
-In the fifht chapter Kate went to the place where Max died the Pijp,
there she went to a bar and talk with the barman and a rare man, an
small dark person that spoke rarely.
After that she met with elly, and elly had some information for her,
she said that they had found the criminal, and they had founf the
wallet of max in his aprtment, but after all , kate wasnt sure he was
the real criminal.
-In the sixth chapter Kate Jensen and Bert went to a bar, because Bert
said that he had some information about Maxs Carson death, but he
wanted 100 hundred pounds for the information, kate accepted. He
said that one of his Friends saw how max Carson was took out of a car
and then knifed many times, but he said that he was already dead.
At first Kate didnt believe that, because she knew that the plice had
one person, Cor Schaap, they had found max wallet in his apparment,
but Bert said that he had never killed anyone before
-In the seventh chapter Kate Jensen went to the Roterdam city football
club offices to have a meeting with Tom Carson, She wanted to write a
story about the club because Max wanted, that before he die. Also
she could go to the football school that Tom a and Max had, she could
see how they prepare kids to become great football players. All the
time she realized that Tom Carson was still very sad beause of his
brothers death
-In the eight chapter she started to search information about the club.
She realized that a man called Martijn Christiaans had 45 percent of
the shares, she didint know why.
After that, she received a letter in her hotel saying that she should
look into the money that was bet on Leiden to win the match against
Rotterdam. That was very mysterious.
Kate decided to leave her hotel at night to go for a walk, then
suddenly a man went out of a car trying to kidnap her, fortunately she
fought and was able to defend herself, finally the man left.
-In the nineth chapter the amsterdam plice had got the results of
Maxs postmortem, they said that he definitely died of the knife
wounds, and there was a 95% certain that he died in the pijp, also
they kept the idea that Schaap was the murderer, although they
hadnt found the knife.
Kate Jensen decided to go to see Ronnie, a Ellys friend, to a Betting
office, he owed something to Elly , so because of that he had to help
Kate with some information about a bet in a football game between
Leiden and Roterdam. She realized that a syndicate called
Amsterdam connection putted a lot of money on the underdog
Leiden, and because of that they had made almost 3 millions of
pounds, that was strange
-In the tenth chapter Kate Jensen went to the police headquarters to
talk with the inspector Joop de Vries, head of the amsterdam plice
murder squad, she tried to give him some information about the case,
she said that she knew a man who said that Max Carson was already
dead before he was took out of a car, but she didnt have enough
evidence, that made de Vries get impatient, she finally left the place.
Cap 10: The description given by the homeless, were the same of
BERT, the most famous serial killer of Holland. The next day Tom went
to Piej, the place where his brother had been murdered, and
suddenly ... he noticed that the guy that the homeless had described
him, BERT, was talking to Elly, the Dutch policewoman, Tom was
speechless, Now everything made sense, he thought that maybe Bert
had murdered Xavier (the homeless who received the wallet from elly)
under the orders of elly, to eliminate the only remaining witness and
dont have problems. Tom felt so sad because of the things he had
seen, and instead of alerting the police of what had happened, he
preferred to pay a private computer specialist who was able to Access
to the e-mails of the Policewoman. The detective discovered that elly
and kate Jenssen maintained frequent communication, and he was
able to discover an email that said: I just deposited the 2000 euros for
bert and the 10 000 euros for your help.
In the other side, kate jensen had already returned to London and sold
the complete story to LONDON TIMES, DAILY ECHO's rival, for that she
received the payment of 100,000 euros for the exclusivity of the news
of the moment. She completely disappointed her boss dave balzano.
In the Holland, TOM CARSON showed the evidence and mails to the
Dutch justice, They ordered the capture of Elly (policewoman), Bert,
and the international capture of KATE JENSEN because she had been
the intelectual autor of the murder of Max Carson.
Nowadays kate jenssen is paying a sentence of 50 years of jail .....
