14. INSTALLATION AND MAINTANANCE
INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL

STORAGE

After purchasing, solid flooring should be stored in a closed and dry place with a
temperature between 15-25 C. Before installation, you should store solid flooring min
1. Tools 48 hours at room temperature (18-20 C) with a 50-60% humidity. Humidity in the
elements of solid flooring should be 9% ( 2%). It is advisable to harmonize the shades
in the room. Before the installation of solid flooring, all finishing works must be
completed and the walls completely dry. After the installation of solid flooring, Spava no
longer accepts claims.

2. Adhesive application over the METHODS

entire surface Glued down - the screed must be firm and flat, free of cracks and clean. The maximum
humidity of the screed must not exceed 2%. You should use two-component adhesives
that are not water-based or even better polyurethane elastic adhesive with mandatory
compliance with the Manufacturer's adhesive instructions. Due to the dimensions, you
need to use mounting straps (clamps) which keep the diaphragms paired until the
adhesive has clamped the diaphragms, because it is not possible to nail flooring into the
screed. Nailed down - first lay steam
resistant floor plywood or OSB boards with minimum thickness 18 mm on adry screed
and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions of the materials used. The boards
3. Edge gaps are nailed into the tongue at an angle of 45 . A two-component adhesive is also
recommended because the nails fasten the boards until the glue hardens. This method
allows a very fast installation of solid flooring.

Solid flooring must be carefully installed, therefore it is advisable that it is done

4. Parallel installation by a professional and qualified flooring installer.

Since wood is a natural material with naturally occuring differences in colour, it

is advisable, before the installation, to open several packages, mix the boards
and match the colours in the room.
5. Cut at the pipe level

BEFORE THE INSTALLTION

Make sure the room is dry and closed and windows glazed. The temperature
should be between 18 and 20 C and the relative humidity between 50% and 60%.
6. Remove the wedges after
installation

AFTER THE INSTALLATION

After the installation, leave the solid flooring 7 to 10 days to ''cool down'' and adjust to the
room. Preserve the temperature and relative air humidity. Solid flooring is maintained
with a dry or a damp cloth and by using appropriate cleaners for maintenance of wood
surfaces. Properly installed and
maintained solid flooring lasts a lifetime.

7. The mouldings fill the freed gaps

15. CERTIFICATES

FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification provides a credible

link between responsible production and consumption of forest
products, enabling consumers and businesses to make
purchasing decisions that benefit people and the environment as
well as providing ongoing business value.

CE marking on a product is a manufacturer's declaration that the

product complies with the essential requirements of the relevant
European health, safety and environmental protection
legislation, in practice by many of the so-called Product
Directives.

ISO 9001: 2008 certificate specifies requirements for a quality

management system where an organization needs to
demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets
customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements

Real Wood label acts as a basic cornerstone in the

process of differentiating real wood floors from
other flooring solutions. It is a guarantee that all of
the products carrying this label are 100% made out
of real wood.
