Title of the Lesson: Renaissance Test Review & Peer Notebook Check

Summary: Students will be able to complete a notebook check on another student's notebook and review its contents for completeness and organization. Students will also be able to identify the key concepts they learned throughout the unit by assessing their knowledge through a quiz and identify key concepts they need to review for the test. Grade Level: 7 Time Frame: 50 Minutes Subject: World History- Renaissance Objectives: Students will: Analyze and grade another student's notebook for completeness and organization Review key terms and concepts they learned throughout the unit in a Quiz Identify key terms and concepts they must review for the test by making flash cards for each incorrect answer on the quiz and also highlighting key terms and concepts in their notebooks Standards: 7.8. Medieval and Early Modern Times: Students analyze the origins, accomplishments, and geographic diffusion of the Renaissance. Essential Questions: 1. What key topics will you need to review to be fully prepared for Thursdays Renaissance test? Materials: Spiral Notebook, Flashcards, Quizizz Application Sequence of Activities: 1. Peer Notebook Check Students are going to receive a grading rubric for their notebooks. They will trade notebooks with their shoulder partner and grade 3 notes assignments we completed previously as classwork. ( 15 minutes) 2. Quiz on Quizizz.com Students will independently take a Renaissance Review Quiz on Quizizz.com ( 10 minutes) 3. Create Study Flashcards Students will review their quiz results and create flashcards on questions they missed on the quiz and any other topics they feel they need to review before the test ( 10 minutes) 4. Review Quiz Questions I will go over the Review Quiz with the class and answer any questions students may have. ( 10 minutes) 5. Answer EQ on Google Classroom What key topics will you need to review to be fully prepared for Thursdays Renaissance test? ( 5 minutes) Accommodations, Adaptations, and Differentiated Instruction: Students will take the review quiz at their own pace Based on their individual quiz result, students will create flashcards on the topic that they need to review for the test
