COURSE OVERVIEW
Mi-BIS is a platform that creates a convenient environment for customised report creation and business analytics from
various data sources regardless small or big. With Mi-BIS, organisations can easily create and organise reports,
perform in-depth data analystics which includes data exploration, ad hoc query analysis and visualisation of multi-
dimensional data, to assist their decision-making process. As part of the platform Mi-BIS is integrated to other MIMOS
and 3rd party analytics engines for easy and seamless data analytics/visualization.
The course provides participants with the knowledge and skills required to develop Business Intelligence (BI)
reports/dashboard using Mi-BIS with hand-on sessions. The course refers to a well-structured learning case, allowing
students to gain complete understanding of BI project development using Mi-BIS.

Upon completion, participants should be able to
demonstrate each of the following:
Understand BI project development from creation of
data mart until report generation.
Ability to create their own Business Intelligence
reports/dashboard.

Data architects, business analysts and developers
involved in the design and implementation of a
Business Intelligence project.
METHODOLOGY
This Course will utilize a combination of lecture, group
discussions, role-playing with Instructor Led
Classroom training.
Throughout the course, hands-on labs help
participants build their knowledge and apply the
concepts being discussed.
PRE-REQUISITE
Basic knowledge of Business Intelligence, SQL and
XML.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENT
All participants are required to bring their own laptop computers
(Windows, Linux) with JAVA JDK 1.6 and latest Firefox Mozilla or
Google Chrome installed for the programme.
Minimum Machine Specification :
- OS: Windows 7; Memory : 8GB RAM; HDD : 20GB free space.

INSTRUCTOR PROFILE
Fazli Mat Nor is a Staff Engineer in MIMOS
Berhad. Currently he is team lead of Mi-BIS
platform development and areas of his
responsibility include Mi-BIS platform
architecture, platform quality and deployment.
His responsibility also covers integration of big
data (Hadoop) and parallel computing processing (GPU) with
Mi-BIS platform.
He has 14 years' experience in software development with 12
years of solid web applications developments as well as 2
years in application security area. His research interests
include Application Security (trusted computing, web
application), Business Intelligence and application
development (PHP, Flex, AJAX, JAVA, .NET). He is currently
undergoing Master Degree in Trusted Computing area. He
also has been certified as ECSP (EC Council Secured
Programming Certified) and CEH (EC Council Certified
Ethical Hacker).
