The functional/technical instructions, safety
warnings and loading data must all be strictly
observed and complied with. Failure to do so
can cause accidents and severe (even life-
threatening) damage to health, as well as very
great material damage.
If any deviation from these instructions is con-
templated, or any application which goes
beyond those described here, then revised
static calculations must be produced for check-
ing, as well as supplementary assembly
instructions.
The customer is to ensure that the User Infor-
mation booklet (Method Statement) provided
by Doka is available to all users, and that they
have been made aware of it and have easy
access to it at the usage location.
Always observe all industrial safety regulations
and other safety rules applying to the applica-
tion and utilisation of our products in the coun-
try and/or region in which you are operating.
Many of the illustrations in this booklet show
the situation during formwork assembly and
are therefore not always complete from the
safety point of view.
The equipment/system must be inspected by
the customer before use, to ensure that it is in
suitable condition. Steps must be taken to rule
out the use of any components that are dam-
aged, deformed, or weakened due to wear, cor-
rosion or rot.
Only original Doka components may be used as
spare parts.
Combining our formwork systems with those
of other manufacturers could be dangerous,
risking damage to both health and property. If
you intend to combine different systems,
please contact Doka for advice first.
Product description
Alu-Framax Xlife - the crane-independent variant Columns
of Framax Xlife
Alu-Framax Xlife is a complete system with high-
performance safety and working accessories. The
panels are lightweight and handy, and so can be
quickly erected by hand.
The system uses only a very few different sizes of
panel to obtain a consistent 15 cm increment-grid.
The connecting devices and accessories are also
designed to fit in with this increment-grid.
The innovative plastic coating of the Xlife sheet
enables it to be re-used intensively, with superb
concrete results every time.
Alu-Framax Xlife is ideal for use on:
walls
9731-326-01
columns
circular formwork
foundations
A range of practical accessories makes work on
the site a lot easier and does away with the need
for costly in-situ improvisations.
Alu-Framax Xlife is 100% compatible with Doka's Circular formwork
framed formwork Framax Xlife. All the linking
parts, closures and accessories are interchangea-
ble, of course.
With Framax Xlife, you can form large areas with
crane-shifted gangs, and then continue forming
manually with Alu-Framax Xlife, without having to
wait for the crane.

Adaptability
Possible combinations Carry on forming with in-situ timber
The perfect panel size-grid gives you innumerable
combinations, in both width and height. You can
use the panels either upright or horizontal, and the
15 cm increment-grid gives you optimum adapta-
bility of the formwork to the dimensions of the
structure, at all times.

The fixing bead around the inside of the profiles F Alu-Framax Xlife panel
enables the connectors to be fastened anywhere on
the frame. This allows adjacent panels to bestagge-
redin height continuously, i.e. without being con-
fined to any fixed grid. This means that the form-
work can easily be accommodated to e.g. steps,
slopes and uneven floors, at no extra cost in terms
of time.

Plumb and align this formwork-half with the
panel struts.
Add two more panels to close the formwork.

Resetting
Thanks to the spindle-lock, the formwork can be
moved with the Framax lifting hook (A) even when
assembled in a curved configuration.
9731-325-01
Important note:
The formwork panels must be held stable in
every phase of the construction work!
Please observe all applicable safety regula-
tions!

sories". A

Pouring platform
The Framax brackets 90 (A) can be used to make a
universal pouring scaffold. The maximum size of the unit for reset-
ting will depend - among other things - on
the radius that has been set.
When resetting large gang-forms, ensure
that these are sufficiently stiffened.
Prevent oblique pull, by using long trans-
fer cables (spreading angle of lifting
tackle : max. 60).
Check that the slip-out guard of the
Framax lifting hook has engaged!
