- The scope of this study is to learn how technology will further increase the

knowledge available to its users (students). This study incorporates the use of

web browsers and other such online resource materials that can be used in

enhancing the mental capacity of students.

- The target participants of this study are students from the Faculty of Arts and

Letters. It is intended for this study to occur at UST and must be held at the time

wherein the students are still having classes in the University. This is because the

ideal period in conducting a research about the effects of technology should be in

line with the days when a student is maximizing the use of technology in classes,

whether by note taking or searching the Web for different definition of terms.

Since this is the main topic of the study.

Definition of Terms

- Download- a function in the internet which enables its users to save and copy a

file coming from the internet.

- Electronic Mail- it is the future or virtual way of sending texts or letters and even

attachments to the internet.

- Internet- it is the multi linking of one computer to another, it incorporates the

technology found on telephones but it is not limited over wires. It is wireless as

long as you have your own modem or a portable WIFI.Web browsers- these are

certain programs or applications available to devices that has a built-in WIFI or is

capable of using mobile data as a means of connecting to the internet. They are

mainly use for their unique search engines which when searched upon, the user

is able to find the exact and precise definitions or terms.

- Log in- it is the virtual way of signing in and inputting your passwords on your

personal accounts. It is also use to ensure maximum protection over private

information that the user is holding.

- Search engines- these are built in search bars that is built-in in a web browser

which is mainly seen on the middle of the page or at the top right corner of the

application. It is use as a way to input words or phrases that the user intends to

search in the World Wide Web.

- Technology enhanced learning- the integration of technology in education. It is

the new way of learning and gathering new found source which is reliable and

highly convenient in this modern era.

- WIFI- it is the virtual gate way of the internet. When connected to its server, it will

bring out the fullest potential of the internet. Whether by using a laptop or a

mobile phone.
