When producing a production of Into the Woods, it is incredibly easy to delve

deeper into the subtext of the show and draw a parallel to our modern world:
what choice is right? Do we really know what were wishing for? Should we
really be wishing at all? Do we notice when what we want is really in front of
us all the time? Whether it be a golden harp, a porcine friend, a mysterious
suitor, or even a child each wish we make, each path we take has
consequences; ultimately its up to us to choose what is neither good or
bad, just right. While our journey may be fraught with perils and calamities,
ultimately its what is right in front of us that can be our ultimate salvation.
But be careful to take this journey with a light heart, even if just for a
moment sometimes a giant is just a giant; and the difference between a
cow and a bean is that a bean can begin an adventure.
