Black Death
Black Death and The Plague - the plague is an infectious
disease. The Black Death is one huge plague event (pandemic)
in history, resulting in the deaths of an estimated 75 to 200
million people in Eurasia and peaking in Europe in the years
13461353.

Origins
- The plague disease, caused by a bacterium called Yersinia pestis, is
commonly present in populations of fleas carried by rats
- the plague evolved around the area of China over 2000 years ago and
spread globally several times as deadly pandemics.
- brought the world's then 450 million population down to 350 million.
Origins
Mongol army under the leadership of Jani Beg, shot dead
body infected with plague over the wall. In order to spread the
plague to the people in the city, the people escaped and brought
the plague via ships to Sicily and southern Europe, where the
epidemic is found. By the end of 1346, plague had reached the
seaports of Europe.

Effect (to Europe)
Population and the Urban workers
Because of the decreasing of the population (because many
people died from the Black Death), therefore there are the effect
to the urban worker in which there not enough workers to do the
work
Economic
Because there are less amount of population and the worker,
this affect the economic of the Europe. To be more precise,
because there are not enough worker, they have to left their farms
behind, so people cannot collect the products and sell things.
Psychology
All people, not even the priest and king, were afraid that they
will get the Black Death and dead.
Religion
Protestant, one of the Christian denominations appears
(English people believe that the religion cannot protect them from
the Black Death).
Some people, who believe in the religion that it can help
them, go to the priest to ask them for help. Some people give all
of their money and land to the Wizards because they believe that
the Wizards is the agent of Satan, if the Satan happy, then the
Black Death will be gone. Also pay the money to the church, so
the church became power and had a lot of money in Europe.

Medicine
- The important of doctor became more evident
- The ancient doctor tried to create the medicine, so the
medical in that period became better

- Many artists started to draw the picture that include the
black death in it to show how dangerous and the impact of it.
- The author created the poem that express the emotional in
that time

Main Dates relating to the event: This terrible plague
started in Europe in 1328 and lasted until 1351 although
there were outbreaks for the next sixty years.
Main People relating to the event: Nearly one third of the
population of died - about 200 million people in Europe.
7500 victims of the disease were dying every day.
