South Louisiana Methanol (SLM) has secured a site and an air permit to build and operate its
methanol facility in St. James Parish, LA. Engineering and offtake negotiaions are entering
final stages. The 5265 tonne/day project will consume 166 million cubic feet per day of natural
gas. Lewis will explain the power of project financing and how a Johnson Matthey/Davy
Technology template helped meet the challenge of non-recourse financing.

2:00 PM Gas Conversion Market Review

2:30 PM GTLs Potential Impact in the North America Diesel Market

Terry Higgins, Executive Director, Global Refining & Special Projects, Hart Energy

In light of the U.S. EPAs expanding role in transportation fuels, North American diesel
markets are undergoing unprecedented regulations with the introduction of ultralow sulfur
fuels and after-exhaust treatment systems. Higgins has been asked to describe these trends
and the implications for GTL fuels, especially Fischer-Tropsch diesel.

3:30 PM Why Large-Scale GTL is Moving Slowly While Small-Scale GTL is Accelerating
Paul Hamilton, Founder and President, Novello GTL, LLC and formerly president
and CEO of Shell Global Solutions US, Inc.

On Dec 5, 2013, Royal Dutch Shell announced it was suspending further work on a proposed
140,000-bpd GTL project. Meanwhile numerous smaller projects, less than 5,000 bpd,
are advancing. Hamilton, a former oil executive and GTL specialist who is in the middle of
developing multiple GTL projects, will shed light on why project size makes a difference and
implications for near term gas-monetization and gas-conversion efforts.

8:00 AM The Obama Administrations Ability to Use Executive Orders (EOs) to Change
Energy, Economic Policy
Barry Hartman, Partner, K&L Gates, and former Assistant Attorney General, U.S.
Justice Departments Environment and Natural Resources Division

On Feb. 18, President Obama announced that his administration would begin developing
tighter fuel efficiency standards for medium and heavy-duty vehicles. The president ordered
the EPA and Transportation Departments National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to
develop and issue new fuel-efficiency and greenhouse gas standards by March 31, 2016.
Could EOs like this affect gas conversion? Hartman has deep experience with the authority of
the executive branch to act via executive orders.

8:30 AM New Developments in F-T Technology

Tim Gamlin, Vice President, Johnson Matthey Davy Technologies

Johnson Matthey Davy Technologies has developed a novel approach to the design
of reactors and how to combine this reactor design with the catalyst in order to yield
substantially reduced investment and operating costs. This technology development is widely
applicable across the gas to liquids market but especially in the Fisher-Tropsch field where
JM Davy has developed technology in partnership with BP. JM Davy commissioned pilot plant
facilities to demonstrate the novel reactor and catalyst combination in May 2012 and see
this reactor and catalyst technology development as a step change in the economics of the
conversion of synthesis gas to liquids such as FT Diesel.

9:00 AM Technological Solutions to Support XTL Projects in North America

Sbastien Boucher, Technologist, Alternative Fuels Technology Group Process
Licensing Business Unit, Axens

Sbastien Boucher will discuss the different types of XTL projects in North America and
the economic relevance of GTL. He will then present the Gasel technology package for the
conversion of syngas to diesel, based on FT and upgrading technologies developed by Eni
and IFP.

9:30 AM Methanol to Gasoline: Selective Conversion

Mitch Hindman, Licensing Manager, ExxonMobil Research & Engineering Company

Numerous recently announced North American GTL projects, including SLM and G2X, intend
to use ExxonMobils methanol-to-gasoline (MTG) process to dehydrate methanol from natural
gas. Hindman has been asked to describe the companys second-generation process, which
features a more selective catalyst.

1:00 PM KEYNOTE LUNCHEON: Mexicos Constitutional Amendments, Opportunities for

Future Gas Conversion Projects
Jesus Rodriguez Davalos, Member of American Gas Associations Legal Publishing
Committee Board member, secretary of Mexican Natural Gas Association

Mexicos December 2013 constitutional amendments represent the biggest economic revamp for
the country since the North American Free Trade Agreement implemented in 1994. The changes
have prompted Moodys Investors Service to raise Mexicos credit grade to A3, estimating it will
help add about 1 percent to the countrys long-term economic growth rate. Sr. Rodrguez, an
authority on Mexicos gas markets and prospects in light of the amendments, will discuss the
latest status as Mexican lawmakers pass final legislation to end a 76-year state monopoly.

1:30 PM Gas Conversion Innovation Case 1: Voestalpine Progresses Corpus Christi DRI plant
Robert Cheeley, Business Development Manager, Midrex Technologies, Inc.

In 2013, The Voestalpine Group announced signing a contract with Siemens and Midrex to
build a new direct-reduced iron plant for a DRI project in San Patricio County near Corpus
Christi, Texas. The plant is designed for an annual capacity of two million tons of hot-
briquetted iron (HBI) and will be the largest single HBI module in the world. Robert Cheeley
has been asked to provide details.

Ruben Rodriguez, Applications and Engineering Director, Gas2 Ltd

In January 2014, Gas2 announced the succesful start of its GTL reactor in Teesside, UK. The
process eliminates the intermediate compression stage between syngas and FT reactors,
reducing capital costs. Gas2 is optimizing the reactor design to run further tests for scale-up
engineering. Rodriguez has been asked to discuss the latest advancements.

2:30 PM Gas Conversion Innovation Case 3: Hot Oxygen Burners and Oxygen Transfer
Membranes
David R. Thompson, Senior Business Development Manager, Praxair

A challenge to the economic viability of gas conversion is meeting capital cost targets,
which is particularly difficult for smaller facilities. Praxair has developed a hot oxygen burner
technology to produce high-quality syngas. It is also working on next-generation oxygen
transport membranes (OTM) to allow air separation and syngas generation in a single
process. Thompson will provide details.

3:00 PM BREAK

3:30 PM Gas/Coal Feedstock Combination

Armen Abazajian, Senior Supervising Process Engineer, Worley Parsons

Substitution of crude oil with natural gas and coal runs into basic mass balance, molecular
size and species, and activation energy challenges, which raise capital costs of conversion
plants. Large economies of scale are used to address cost, yet that in itself leads to fewer
applications and higher risk. Abazajian will present a solution to use a combination of gas and
coal feedstocks to solve the mass balance, economies of scale, and project risk challenges.

4:00 PM Conference Conclusion: Assembling an Actionable Plan

Mona Dajani, Partner, Baker McKenzie

Experienced in representing leading GTL projects worldwide, Ms. Dajani has firsthand
knowledge of the commercial challenges developers face as they work to advance concepts
into commercially viable infrastructure. To conclude the conference, she will draw key
takeaways from previous presentations, adding her own perspectives, to describe what
developers must do to action their projects.
