CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THE MOVIE THALAPATHI (NATURAL

LAW)

My project for jurisprudence is titled the critical analysis of the Tamil movie THALAPATHI,
which was starred by rajinikanth and mamooty. The story revolves around two stronger
protagonists (rajinikanth and mamooty) who control their native place by running a parallel
judicial system which bypass the government institution in their village. They act as the judge,
jury, & executioner in their village, unrivalled in their power they have nil respect for the
established legal institutions & so do the people of their town. So this finally leads to a clash
between the government authorities & these self-proclaimed sovereign. In this project, Im going
to explain how the two protagonists have adhered by the natural school, with respect to particular
natural law philosophers & their theories. I will elaborate how the principles of morality, equity
& good conscience which are the essential of natural law play a big role in their rule.im going to
discuss the theories of Thomas Hobbes, Hugo Grotius, and saint Thomas Aquinas by relating
with the movie THALAPATHI.
