Climate change is an event that most people are aware of, but do not care about
much. I believe climate change is the most significant problem the world has because of
The increase of natural disasters due to climate change affects many plants and
animals. Floods happen more frequently because of the rise in sea levels, which is also a
consequence of climate change. Besides that, the earth is getting hotter so water
flooding, the soil is washed away so plants lose nutritional resources and die (Loftis,
2015). Tropical storms also destroy animals' habitats. These animals lose their shelter and
Many think that climate change is not something to worry about now, but rather in
a few decades, however this is simply not true because it is already affecting us now.
Diseases spread much more easily due to climate change. As it is warmer, mosquitos live
longer and carry diseases like malaria with them (Bretscher, 2017). There are many ways
to prevent climate change. Citizens can save water and energy by turning off water when
brushing teeth, or walk and bike more. They can also help by spreading the word and
telling others to do the same. These ways, climate change can be prevented.
So, because of its devastating effects, climate change should be considered the
most important issue in the world today. Natural disasters happen much more frequently
saving water and energy. If the population does not conserve water and energy, it its
likely that future generations will suffer severely from climate change.
