Vitamin a

Purpose
Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin that comes from two sources: preformed retinoid
and provitamin carotenoids. Retinoid are found in animal sources such as liver,
kidney, eggs, and dairy products. Carotenoids are found in plants such as dark or
yellow vegetables and carrots. Research suggests that vitamin A may reduce death
from measles, prevent some types of cancer, aid in growth and development, and
improve immune function.

Application
Vitamin A has many benefits to human such as treatment, supplement, and cosmetic.
In Africa there are a big problem about polio, so PEI provided a platform for
integrated delivery of vitamin A in the African Region. The result is the percent of
polio decrease. Vitamin a or retinol is also recommend their patient to use when the
skin show the sigh of aging or clogging pore. These retinol creams will help smooth
of fine line and small pimples. Vitamin a is keys for good vision, which can be found
in many vegetable include carrot.
