methodology.

Whenever the new program is launched the justification for a new program in
the assessment of the need is always considered.
Based on the needs of the industries, the technology and the direction in which the current technologies are
going collected through various magazines and personal discuss through the industry professionals. The new
programs are conceded.
The structure of the curriculum which includes the fundamental courses and elective courses to be introduced
for the new program are discussed in the staff meeting conducted by H.O.D.

The feedbacks from the staff are taken in to consideration before finalizing structure of the new program.
The curriculum and detail syllabi are placed before the BOS (Board of Study) of the department consisting of
following members.

Before placing the Item to the BOS enough into is gathered on the employmentpotential and scope for higher
studies have been analyzed.

The additional requirement in terms of infrastructure, Books, Journals and additional faculty and class room
requirements will be assessed and communicate to respective officials to the university.

30. Does the department obtain feedback from


a. faculty on curriculum as well as teaching-learning-evaluation? If yes, how does the department utilize it?

The initial feedback for the new programs will be obtained from the BOS
members and Academic council members before conducting programs.

After launching the program, the department collects feed from the stake holders
periodically through class committee meeting, parent teacher meeting and staff
meeting.

b. students on staff, curriculum as well as teaching-learning-evaluation and what is the response of the
department to the same?
Yes. After verifying the students feedback, appropriate teaching Techniques are adopted.
As per regulation the class committee consists of teachers over handling the course and student
representatives, Ex-office of members.

This is the form where the chairman/chairperson gets an opinion of the teacher and students on
the perspective performance and coverage of the syllabus.
The students and staff respectively give their feedback about the contact of the course, coverage
syllabus and content delivery.
Furthermore, student feedback can be collected using on line feedback system,by distributing
these questionnaires in-class to students. This method providesthe benefit of having a captive
audience and could increase response rates.
Student feedback could also be collected within an electronic system by making the
questionnaires available on University Website. Lecturers using this method are therefore urged
to continuously remind students to complete the electronic questionnaires.
c. alumni and employers on the programmes and what is the response of the department to the same?

Yes. Feedback from alumni is got through the annual alumni meet and other alumni interactions.

Feedback from employers is received through the centralized placement Cell Office.
