PENCEGAHAN KECANDUAN FACEBOOK

Tidak bisa dipungkiri, dengan adanya situs jejaring facebook, masyarakat sering
menghabiskan waktunya dengan komputernya atau smartphone yang semakin canggih.
Meskipun kontribusi facebook dalam kehidupan cukup banyak, namun Dengan melihat
tingkat kecanduan remaja di kota bandung terhadap facebook, maka diperlukan upaya untuk
mencegah kecanduan facebook. Karena apabila para pecandu facebook terus-menerus
melakukan kebiasaan tersebut, maka akan menimbulkan efek negatif yang ditimbulkan.

Peran orang tua dalam pencegahan pengaksesan facebook yang terus menerus sangatlah
penting. Pengawasan orang tua terhadap anak remajanya sangat membantu dalam
pencegahan kecanduan facebook ini. Misalnya, memberikan pembatasan waktu untuk
mengakses internet di rumah. Orang tua bisa memberikan waktu khusus untuk mengakses
internet kepada anak remajanya atau dengan membuat kesepakatan mengenai waktu dan
durasi pengaksesan internet bersama sang remaja. Selain itu pula memberikan pemahaman
kepada anak remajanya tentang keuntungan dan kerugian pengaksesan facebook yang terus
menerus.

Pencegahan kecanduan terhadap facebook itu lebih efektif jika keinginan untuk melakukan
pencegahan timbul dari dalam diri remaja tersebut. Ada beberapa cara efektif yang mungkin
bisa dilakukan oleh para remaja yang kecanduan facebook untuk benar-benar berhenti dari
kecanduan facebook, antara lain :

1. Membuat jadwal waktu khusus untuk mengakses facebook. Misalnya, dalam sehari
kita canangkan untuk mengakses facebook satu jam atau pada waktu-waktu tertentu.

2. Bawalah uang secara terbatas jika ingin mengakses facebook dari warnet. Dengan
begitu, kita tidak akan berlama-lama untuk mengakses internet di warnet.

3. Perlu anda ingat dalam benak anda, bahwa teman nyata lebih baik dari pada teman
maya.

4. Tidak terlalu sering mengomentari status atau komentar-komentar lainya tentang


teman-teman di facebook.

5. Menggunakan fasilitas chatting di facebook secara wajar dan seperlukan.

6. Berusahalah untuk selalu mengingat bahwa pekerjaan anda tidak cuma ber-FB ria
saja, ada pekerjaan-pekerjaan lain yang harus anda kerjakan.

Semua cara-cara pencegahan kecanduan facebook di atas tidak akan berjalan jika niat dari
para remaja untuk lepas dari kecanduan facebook pun kurang kuat. Maka dari itu, di perlukan
niat yang kuat untuk tidak atau mengurang kecanduan facebook dari para pecandu facebook.

FACEBOOK ADDICTION PREVENTION

Inevitably, with the networking site facebook, people often spend time with his
computer or smartphone increasingly sophisticated. Although the contribution of facebook in
