Hazard Alert, a report of recommendations and descriptions of mandatory safety and health standards, it
was reported that in a one-year period 10 preventable fatalities and more than 20 preventable injuries due
to aerial lifts were investigated.

OSHA's investigation found that a majority of these injuries and fatalities were the result of employers
not addressing fall protection, stabilization and positioning of equipment. OSHA is urging that only
