Pa Sc. SSS Ryan Augustine Mr. Ameruso Religion 1 April 21, 2017 ‘The place | chose to volunteer at is St. Victors Church, St. Vctors is a small local church that | live close to. The service | preformed at the church is | helped out with their bingos they hold every Thursday night. The specific jobs 1 had during the bingo is | would clean off all ofthe condiments and put them ‘ut, | would take peoples’ orders and give them their food and or drink, ! pushed a litte cart around ‘with snacks and drinks on it, refill the condiments when they ran out, cleaned everything we cooked with, wiped down the condiments and put them away, put all ofthe cleaned utensils we cooked with away. | performed there services because | wanted to help out at some place local and small. wanted to do something that would help the community that! live in. Also they needed help at the bingo so because of al of these reasons I decided to help there, The benefit my services gave to the people there is that the volunteers who also worked their did not have as much to do when | was their helping and the people actually doing the bingo got more attention and got their food quicker. The benefits I receives from working at the bingo are that ! got experience working with people, ! got experience working with others, and obviously ! got my twenty hours done for school. itis essential for Christians to perform community service because God wants us to help other without expecting a reward back; Doing community service is exactly that.
