Additional Design Guidelines for Administration Building (due to revision)

1. All concrete slab and walls in contact with the soil shall be provided with damp proofing/vapour protection in the
form of PE plastic sheet construction grade or equivalent.
2. Ground floor retaining wall to be provided with drainage system (drainage aggregate, geotextile sleeve, and
perforated pipe or equivalent) to be routed sides.
3. Due to related work concerning interior design of the building, the contractor shall include in its personnel a
Licensed Interior Designer (with a minimum 5 year experience) in conformity with RA 10350 otherwise known as
the Philippine Interior Design Act of 2012.
4. Provision of a concrete deck at the rear side of the building (2nd floor) to accommodate mounting of ACU
condensers.
5. All interior offices shall be installed with either floor mounted of split type ACU. Aircon drain shall be diameter
PVC pipe embedded to walls.
6. Interior partition glass and glass doors for offices shall be 12mm thick tempered glass frameless type or
equivalent. Contractor to include all hardware including locks. Glass shall be tinted in the shade of light green.
7. All framed windows shall be anodized aluminum framed. Larger glass windows shall be tempered. Design
should include operable awning windows. Glass tint shall be light green.
8. Main lobby floor should reflect official logo of the Philippine Science High School System-Cagayan Valley
Campus.
9. Logo attached to the glass at the front faade should be either acrylic plastic or metal, backlighted.
10. Boardroom floor shall be carpeted.
11. All offices including hallways shall be provided with ceramic tiles polished type except storage room at property
office which shall be epoxy painted flooring.
12. Campus director and administrative officer offices shall be furnished with executive table and chairs including all
furniture indicated in the plan.
13. Inclusion of CCTV and VOIP system within the building. All cables and wires shall be concealed.
14. Contractor are required to submit interior design (to be incorporated in the TECHNICAL requirements) of the
following spaces showing furniture layout and cabinets.
a. Office of the Campus Director
b. Board Room
c. Lobby (view from 2nd floor and ground floor)
15. Location of water tank, cistern (if necessary) and pumps shall be indicated in mechanical plans.
16. Winning bidder to submit sample of all finishing materials for approval of the HOPE.
17. All prospective bidders are advised to properly review the legal and technical requirements indicated in the Bid
documents for proper guidance, these shall be strictly monitored in the bid opening.
