Other Analyst (NT) types are a natural t for INTPs, who share their passion for new ideas,
riddles and solutions. People with the INTP personality type are knowledgeable and
intelligent, and have a great deal of respect for those who can keep them on their toes in this
regard. They will gladly help to tackle any dilemma thrown their way, oering up sound
advice and rational solutions. As valuable as these qualities are though, they are not always
the best approach when it comes to emotional support or advice in dealing with matters of
the heart, INTPs are at a loss.

It's not that INTP personalities don't feel quite the contrary, they actually have very strong
sentiments. But Feeling (F) is one of INTPs' least developed traits, making their emotional
reactions strong, untrustworthy and naturally in need of being tempered by their well-trained
logic and rationalism. Still waters run deep.

While they may not be able to help directly with these sorts of problems, INTPs help
indirectly with unambiguous and reliable friendships. INTPs' friends need never worry about
power games or emotional baggage they are liked for their minds and abilities, not their
status or possessions. While it may not be easy to establish true friendships with INTP
personalities, once the link is made, they will provide years of understanding and thought-
stimulating ideas, making them well worth the eort.

My friends don't fit into any of the categories that INTP value, but I love them all the same, which I find
strange. My friends and I are always wondering how I fit in with them, and it was a cause of insecurity for me
I guess, but now I've just accepted that I'm very different from them, and we all make efforts to meet
everyone's needs in coversation. I think they're a little annoyed by my hypocrisy though; I feel bad when they
don't make an effort to include me, but I often put off starting up social situations with them to stay in my own
little bubble

Well, I suppose that INTP's would be considered "emotionless", but in truth, based on knowledge and
analyzing the environment and situation, they would feel it more than most. They have the ability to "put
themselves in someone else's shoes," because they would understand. It's just that they prefer not to, to not
show 1. weakness, 2. sympathy (which could be misinterpreted as pity), and 3. An unkind expression.
Expressing themselves in writing and words come more naturally to these Analytical types.

I think we objectify feelings and emotions well, and are able to put them in words, poetry, music, etc,
but to feel it all or empathize in a purely emotional way, we may lack.

The funny thing about celebrities is the only reason I care is I like to see how close to normal they really are. I
like to make them out in my head as normal people. I don't like the fantasy mysticism behind celebrities. I
also am curious if they're real logical human beings lol

That may be different from how the general public views them then. Since most people stick to
gossip and fantasy mysticism from what I've seen, in my limited understanding of their attraction to
celebrity lives.

INTP here who's wondering if I'll ever stop being amazed at how these describe me.
I've been accused of having no emotions because I don't give emotional support like others do. When
someone comes to me with a problem, I feel and I feel deeply., to the point of pain. But my mind moves past
that very quickly and starts looking at the issue the emotions came out. My mind goes logical at this point.
Clarify the issue or event, find ways to address it and solve the problems and the painful emotions that
person is feeling either vanish or deintensify. It's how I know to help someone. I don't see how sitting and
crying with someone will solve the problem.
That said, I've also been told I was the voice of reasons during situations where emotions were running
amuck. I was doing the same thing I just described above. Go figure.....

This happens to me a lot as well. Main reason why I largely stay to myself.
