Summer Intern Medical

Designation : Summer Intern Medical Operations

Reports to : Director Medical Service

Qualification : MBA / PGP or an equivalent Qualification.

Accountabilities:

Provides clinical and administrative direction for the clinical operation of medical
departments and services. Formulates, implements policies and procedures, and
participates in strategic and operational decision-making. Directs, coordinates, and
oversees the administration of all clinical personnel and associated support staff.
Job Responsibilities:
Develops, establishes policies and objectives consistent with those of the
organization mission to ensure efficient operation of individual operating medical
department/services.
Plans, implements and evaluates all clinical care services provided by the unit, as
well as all associated administrative operations and activities.
Reviews, establishes and maintains patient care protocol and standards, ensuring
that all regulations and guidelines for patient care are met.
Establishes and coordinates quality management service and monitors the
functioning of medical committees.
Participate in the staffing of the department / services, recruitment, training and
performance management system.

Develops and manages annual budgets for the organization and performs periodic
cost and efficiency analysis.
Work collaboratively with medical department/services co-ordinators in delivering
and encouraging implementation of recommendations, which would improve
utilization of hospital services.
Participate in performance review and assessment of medical consultants and
physicians.

Provide or coordinate in providing the medical expertise to improve medical
management of patients.
Coordinates with operational/functional Heads with respect to issues connecting with
the day-to-day operations of the hospital services.
Supervises the functioning of nursing staff through Nursing Superintendents.
Any other responsibility as deemed fit from time to time by the Company/Director(s).
Implements all policies and procedure for JCI certification.
Given monthly committee meeting of various, set prompt and reports to MD
