The average turnaround time for repairs is 10 days from

the date of arrival to our facility. Depending on the
complexity of the repair that time could vary.
The Engineering Department at Pipeline Inspection Co.

recommends once per year recalibration of our holiday detectors
and jeep meters, based on industry practice and our statistical
analysis methodology and historical calibration data.
Our products do not tend to drift, but calibrating them annually

helps to comply with directions from ISO 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540,
MIL-STD-45662A and similar standards and to ensure that items
are in-tolerance during use .
Recalibration of our products should be performed only at the

factory due to unique calibration process and test equipment
utilized.
We encourage our customers to establish a calibration intervals

plan, based on our recommendations or in-house engineering
reviews to reduce down time and the risk of injury to personnel or
damage to equipment.
Our Engineering and Technical Staff are available to help answer

any questions you may have regarding this issue or any other
technical issues. Please contact us with any questions you may
have.

available sizes. Any additional electrodes for use with your rental must be purchased separately. Note: Any

2. All rental equipment will have a (4) day minimum rental period. Rental begins the date equipment is shipped
and stops the day the equipment is received at the factory. Shipping method is determined by the renter and is
charged separately from rental rate on the first months invoice.
3. Many times a customer who has been renting a detector decides to purchase the unit. The length of time out on rent is taken
into consideration when determining the final payoff required to purchase the unit. Used Rental equipment can be
purchased anytime during the rental cycle by simply contacting our sales staff via email/phone.

1. These internal electrodes are made using conductive neoprene circles sandwiched between aluminum disks.
Two such plates, joined with spacers, to form a "PIG" type electrode for the inspection of internally coated pipes.
With metallic spacers, there is a double signal at each holiday. If double signaling is not desired, please
specify when placing order so non-conductive spacers will be used.
2. To use an internal electrode, a high voltage cable must be inserted through the pipe, with one end connected to
the holiday detector and the other end connected to the internal electrode. As an alternate method, the
electrode may be connected to the end of a lance which is then inserted into the pipe. Using this method, the
lance must be made of a metallic conductor or a cable must still be used to connect the holiday detector with
the electrode.
3. PLEASE NOTE: The inspection voltages to be used, with this type of electrode, must be at least 600 volts. To
use inspection voltages lower than 600 volts, a "WET SPONGE" type of electrode must be used.
