All the girls in France

All the boys are shy to dance

Because they all have holey pants-oh..

All the girls in France

Boomwhacker Song
This boomwhacker song is designed to provide fun music for your classes while
helping students learn a variety of musical skills. This song is written with the
melody and the chord symbols. A list of musical skills are included with the song.

In order to provide a successful playing experience for your students, the

boomwhacker song in this product is comprised of excerpts from a simple melody of
a popular folk song.

When creating lesson plans, keep in mind that grades 5, 6, 7 and 8 can play the
melody while the younger students can play the chords while the teacher plays the
melody.

Three ways to play music with boomwhackers:

1. Have your class play the melody.
2. Have the class play the chords while the teacher plays the melody on the piano.
(This is the easiest way for students to perform the music).
3. Have the class play the melody and the chords to the songs.
Boomwhacker Rules -Check List:
Review some basic playing rules with the class before
allowing students to use the boomwhackers.
No excessive striking force on the boomwhackers.
You bend or break it You replace it!
No Hitting other people
No contact with the mouth
No Horse Play
No Playing out of turn until given permission. If a student plays
out of turn, they have to give back their instrument. Be very strict
about this rule. It only takes one person playing out of turn and
the rest of the class will start playing out of turn. The rest of the
class will not listen to you unless you take away the instrument
the 1st time someone plays out of turn.
Demonstrating Basic Boomwhacker Technique:
After going over the rules, demonstrate exactly how the class should use the boom
whackers.

Tell the class to avoid striking the boomwhacker tubes on an angle with only one end of the
tube hitting the floor. This will cause the boomwhacker to bend or break over a short period
of time.

Boomwhacker tubes need to be held parallel to the floor when you strike the tubes. This
allows the entire length of the tubes to hit the floor at the same time, producing a louder
sound from the boomwhachers and protects them from damage.

Passing out Boomwhackers:

Have the class sit in a straight line in groups of 8 people to form an octave scale (See picture
below). Pass out the boomwhackers using the order of the scale and have fun teaching the
songs in this product.
