Explain the strengths and weaknesses of their results
Create a Slidely explaining their testing results.

Teachers Prior Preparation/Organisation: Provision for students at educational risk:

Time Motivation and Introduction:

9.00am Students will be seated and teacher will call the roll.
Student Laptops, Photos
Student will outline the aim for the lesson: from previous class on
iPads.
- Use Plotly and Slidely to analyse and represent testing results.

All students will have their own device (ideally laptop). Fitness Testing results on
Students to review testing results on Padlet. Padlet

Quick Discussion Teacher to prompt discussion with questions
inbradshaw/dr2djdo68baw
- Was anybody surprised by their results?

- Who was below/above average?

9.05am
Lesson Steps (Lesson content, structure, strategies & Key Questions):

Students are to load videos/photos from testing onto their device if they do
not already have them.

Plotly Activity Plotly

Student are to pair up. https://plot.ly/
Navigate to the Plotly website and create an account.
Students are to analyse their results and create a Plotly graph to visually
represent their results.
- Students can choose to display their results in any types of graph. As long
as it includes: student results, averages and class averages.
- The graph should represent the students results in relation to age group
averages and the class average.
Slidely
9.25am
Slidely Activity http://slide.ly/
Still in pairs, students are to create a group Slidely.
- An example Slidely is on the Weebly website to follow.
- Students will need to create a Slidely account if they do not already have
one.
The Slidely should include graphs from Plotly as well as photos taken during
Lesson 2.
- This is to serve as a visual representation of the students results and
photos from the testing processes.
- Students can use photos from the internet if they cannot find appropriate
photos from the testing sessions
Once completed, students will show their final product to the class.

9.45am Survey Monkey

Lesson Closure:(Review lesson objectives with students)
Students will discuss the practicality of the ICT tools used.
- Were these the best tools for the job? Are there better tools which could
have been used?
Students will use Survey Monkey to suggest, what worked, what didnt and
an improvement for future ICT tools.
The best Slidely creation will win a prize at the end of the class.

Transition: (What needs to happen prior to the next lesson?)

Students will need to complete their Slidely if they were unable to complete

this in class.

Assessment: (Were the lesson objectives met? How will these be judged?)
Students will be informally assessed on their Slidely and Plotly work.
This will be judged on their ability to present the results and the quality of
their final Slidely.
This work represents the students mastery of ICT tools combined with the
students understanding of the fitness testing results and knowledge.
