ESPCP for Oil Production
Recent years have witnessed escalating impact of complicating factors (solids, scaling,
high GOR, high oil viscosity, lower production rates, etc.) on the performance of
artificial lift systems. Such conditions limit the application of ESP systems.
Oil companies have to use advanced and expensive equipment and technologies, which
leads to a significant increase in oil production costs.
A most efficient artificial lift solution in such harsh conditions is Progressive Cavity Pumps,
which manage to partially or fully handle the problems of oil production in 70% of difficult
wells.

ESPCPs Benefits vs. ESPs
Higher efficiency
Smaller dimensions
Variable pump rate due to changing rotation speed without loss of head
Wider pump operating range
Constant operation of wells at 3-20 m3/day flow-rates, which cannot dispense with ESP
systems for long-term and failure-free operation
While operated, ESPCP systems do not generate highly viscous oil-water emulsions
thus being efficient for pumping heavy highly viscous oil
Application of ESPCP systems with PMM allows to reduce power consumption 1.5 - 2
times vs. ESP systems with IM:
