recent medical update

Jan 14 , 2014 admitted to Clear Lake Regional Hospital with severe back pain ct scan showed
aneurysm was 5.9 and surrounded by inflammation from kidneys was to be transferred
to St Lukes (where his Surgeon is Dr Krajcer) however there were no rooms open.
So Bill stayed at Clear Lake till Jan 20th when a room came open Bill was transferred
to St Lukes

Jan 23, 2014 Dr Krajcer did the surgery AAA repair, stents placed in the aorta and arteries' to kidney
sugery took 12 hours, Dr Krajcer said the surgery went well, urine out put good, some
some weakness on the left leg.

Since Bill had been in bed he is weak also had not been eating well at all, he was
discharged from St Lukes's to Kindred Hospital rehab on 02/04/14

after 2 weeks at Kindred it was determined that Bill was too weak for this aggressive reha
(He was not eating and anemic) he was put on Megace for appetite and iron vitamins
also given 2 unit of Blood.

2/14/2014 Bill was transferred to Manor Care Skilled Nursing Home

Bill is doing better the Megace is working his appetite is better, the rehab therapy is much
easier

3/10/2014 Follow-up Ct scan for the AAA repair, showed a small endoleak, at first Dr Krajcer was goin
wait and see if it would seal it self, however with Bill taking Plavix and asprin it probably
would not

3/24/2014 Bill to St Lukes for a Translumber Endoleak repair(Needle inserted in back to the area whe
Monday the leak is and coils and glue inserted to seal the leak. The procedure took 4 hours on his
side, procedure was a success, follow-up Ct scan in 2 months
 Bill was in ICU 2 days and discharged from St Luke's on 03/28/14 back to Manor Care
(was at St Luke's 5 days)
Result from being on his left side 4 hours Bill has Rib pain on his left, x-ray done no fractu
was prescribed pain medication and Lidocaine patches

3/28/2014 Back at Manor Care, next day Bill takes off his pants by himself and really aggravated his
Friday left side Rib pain.

4/2/2014 Bill discharged from Manor Care (Insurance feels that Bill can go home with hom
Wednesday

4/3/2014 At home Bill is stubborn going to the bathroom by himself, and he fell hurting his right
Thursday shoulder and hip and aggravating his left rib pain
(he has bruising on his back and hip and some on his back leg)

Bill needs pain medication for left side Rib pain and right side shoulder and Hip
also has chronic back pain
