CICOP is certificated since 2005, by the Romanian


Ministry of Education as a research center within a cross-
disciplinary domain of social and human sciences. The
activity developed by the center is made up of research
projects aimed to better understand and support child
and family welfare in Romania (i.e. childs adoption,
childrens rights promotion, child abuse and neglect
prevention, juvenile delinquency, cultural aspects in child
welfare, feminist topics). CICOP has as major objective
to promote valid information among the parents,
professionals, students, academics, researchers.

CDS provides expertise in the area of Social Psychology,
Cross-Cultural Psychology, Ethno-Psychology and

interested in theoretical reframing of several topics like
identity dynamics, cultural determination upon social

@dCom represent a project of the Department of


Sociology and has the advice of the Council of the
Faculty of Sociology and Psychology. This center
intending to initiate advanced application and basic
research projects into the domain of communication,
understood as a sine-qua-non process for the human
being existence and development. The @dCom center
want to be an open structure that can involve by
temporary projects other teachers and researchers
from WUT or from other universities. A special attention
is dedicated to the students that are interested into
the field of the communication. Also, the Advanced
Communication Research Center is intending to
participate at main national and international profesional
