Welcome and Briefing

All judges are required to attend the welcome and briefing at 7pm on Wednesday 11 May at Temple
Brewing 122 Weston Street, Brunswick East. This informal evening is an opportunity to meet/catch up
over a few beers and a light meal, and to ask questions about the days ahead. Temple Brewing is a 10-15
minute taxi journey from your hotel. We encourage you to please share your taxi with other judges taxi
vouchers will be available to pay for your trip upon arrival at the brewery.

Accommodation

Complimentary bed and breakfast accommodation has been arranged at The Larwill Studio in Parkville for
three nights for those judges requiring accommodation.

Extended stay We are happy to arrange additional nights for you, however these will be at
your own cost.

Breakfast, served from 6:30am until 7:30am each day, is included in your stay, however you are
responsible for all other incidental charges including mini bar, telephone, dry cleaning, deliveries, etc. A
credit card or suitable holding deposit is required upon check-in. Note that transaction fees apply to credit
cards.

Accommodation for Good Beer Week launch

The Larwill Studio in Parkville have offered a very special room only rate to AIBA judges who are looking to
extend their stay over the Good Beer Week weekend launch. Please contact Priya Vachoo at The Larwill via

Transport

Those staying at The Larwill should meet Head Judge Warren Pawsey in the hotel foyer at 7:45am on each
day of judging to be transported by coach to Melbourne Showgrounds. On Thursday 12 May, a coach will
transport you back to the hotel at the conclusion of judging. On Friday 13 May, at the conclusion of
judging, you will be transported by coach to the Good Beer Week opening party at Beer DeLuxe, Federation
Square, should you wish to attend.

Taxi vouchers are available to all Melbourne-based judges who are not staying at The Larwill Studio for
AIBA-related transport. These will be issued each day. Please retain and return your voucher stubs.

Please note that as the final day of judging is expected to be a full day, we request that you do not arrange
flights out of Melbourne to depart earlier than 6:30pm unless previously discussed.

Lunch

Lunch will be provided at Melbourne Showgrounds on each day of judging. If you have not already advised
your dietary requirements, please do so via beer@rasv.com.au.

Then on to the Good Beer Week Opening Night Beer DeLuxe, Federation Square,
Corner Swanston and Flinders Streets, Melbourne VIC 3000 where the
RASV/AIBA will have a tab on the bar. Please wear your AIBA t-shirt to take
advantage of the bar tab. At midnight a coach will transport you back to The
Larwill judges are expected to be in peak condition for the final day of judging
which will include the trophy rounds.

Good Beer Week, now in its sixth year, is a nine day celebration of all that's great
about beer. From Friday 13 May to Sunday 22 May, Melbourne and Victoria play
host to 270+ events at 180 venues featuring hundreds of beers and brewers from
across the country and around the globe. The RASV/AIBA are proud to be a
supporting partner of the 2016 Good Beer Week. For more information please

Official AIBA Events
As a judge of the 2016 AIBA we invite you to attend our celebratory events:

The Presentation Dinner on Thursday 19 May at Peninsula, Docklands, is the Australian beer
industrys night of nights, commencing at 6:15pm with a tasting of a selection of beers entered into
this years competition and followed by a three course dinner matched to 2015 AIBA Medal
winning beer and the 2016 Collaboration beer. The meal will be followed by the official Awards
Presentation. Your invitation is attached please confirm your attendance (RSVP) via
events@rasv.com.au by Friday 6 May, thank you.
NB: AIBA Industry Advisory Group members should have received their invitations in a separate
communication.

We encourage you to attend the AIBA Exhibitor and Trade Tasting of 2016 medal winning beers at
Taxi Riverside (formerly Feddish), Federation Square, on Friday 20 May from 11am until 3:30pm.
This is an opportunity for brewers who have entered the 2016 AIBA to talk with you about their
results.

The AIBA will have a presence at the 2016 GABS Beer, Cider and Food Fest at the Royal Exhibition
Building in Carlton, Friday 20 May through Sunday 22 May. We will be asking judges to stop by the
AIBA stand to meet and talk with visitors to the stand.
