Learning Outcome becoming proficient at the concepts and applications of teaching English to young learners.
Course Description This course provides students with theoretical and practical knowledge and approaches on
teaching English to children. Students are expected to understand and apply best metods
which are in harmony with the approches. The course covers some theoretical and practical
aspects in the approaches of teaching of language to children, lesson planning, and
classroom management. Activities include understanding and identifying knowledge and
approaches on teaching English to children (Niteni), modifying lesson plan (Nirokke), and
simulating the teaching approaches and lesson planning (Nambahi). Assessment on
students achievement is based on classroom participation, home assignments, and written
evaluation.
