Welcome to Middle School!

Students are expected to take on much more responsibility especially keeping
track of assignments and tests. I cannot replace lost worksheet assignments.
Students are reminded daily to copy agenda information written on the board
into their agendas. Please check your child's agenda for homework and test
information. A homework assignment may change, so please check my website
agenda daily.

Students are given ample time to complete assignments in class, during Advisory,
and aftercare (4:00 to 4:30 - teacher supervised) in the Media room. Your child should
not have a large amount of homework if he/she is using his/her time wisely.

If your child is absent, then it is the responsibility of the student to come to me to

find out what he/she missed. Your child can ask a friend in a specific class and if there
is an assignment, come to me for the information. Im sorry but I cannot track down
students about their homework. If you wish missing homework because your child is
home, please email me and I will do my best to have it for you at the office by the end
of the day.

I do have walk in tutoring Monday through Thursdays. It your childs

responsibility to bring any work that he/she does not understand. Also, the student
should bring a paper that has a low grade on it so I can review and clarify any
misunderstandings. Please be aware that I cannot chase down students to come to
tutoring. If you are concerned with grades noted on Power School, please contact me
as soon as possible. I cant notify parents of missing work, late assignments, low
grades, etc. Please check Power School and you will be aware of grades and any
comments I have made. Grades are always in Power School by Sunday the end of the
assignment week. I often do not have time to grade and put grades in Power School
during the week.

Lunch detentions will be issued for missing work, incomplete work, behaviors not
appropriate, etc. If your child has not completed all the questions on an assignment,
then he/she will work on it during Lunch Detention. The paper will be collect then and
graded. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Please email if you have any questions:
