y TO (a), se pronuncia / TU / etc. Esta irregularidad, de la cual hablo, se extiende a
muchsimas palabras, a tal punto que en espaol, solamente sucede con la Y, que cuando
es conjuncin se pronuncia como / I /, / V /, / G /
Ejemplo: Europa, Amrica.

no simplemente "Is dangerous".
YOU Vosotros el auxilar que se usa es ARE = ESTN / SOIS / ESTIS/ SON

usa el mismo pronombre. Por lo tanto no hay forma de saber si hay tuteo (t) o voseo (vos), este ltimo es
utilizado en el Valle Del Cauca o Antioquia, y en Argentina. Ni tampoco hay plural en los verbos en el ingls.
**THEY = son / estan = neutron. They are books. = Son libros. (plural no personas).
*** El pronombre They Son / Estan es neutro se refiere al sujeto en la frase en Plural. (no personas o tacito)

En estas tres oraciones en el espaol no necesitamos nombrar el pronombre sujeto para saber quien es,
pero en el inglish si, es nesesario.

CHAPTER III
INDEFINITE ARTICLE Artculo Indeterminado
9
Example = Ejemplo: An hour (Una ora suena "an aweer")
Cuando el sustantivo est en singular, los artculos indefinidos no se pueden omitir en ingls, como lo
hacemos en ocasiones en espaol.

In (d): Canada is a singular noun. China is a singular noun. They are connected by and.
Together they are plural, i.e., "more than one."

(g) Rita and Tom are in my class. They are students. In (g): they = Rita and Tom
EXERCISE 9: Complete the sentences. Use a VERB: am, is, or are. Use a NOUN: a student or students.
NOTE: SOME algo, algn, algunos, un poco, unos, unas es usado con sustantivos plurales.
11
Cuando el sustantivo est en plural los artculos indefinidos se comportan igual que en espaol. No use
"A" con un sustantivo plural.
Some salt (Algo de sal.) Some ice cream (un poco de helado)
Some plates (Unos / Algunos platos.) Some beans (un poco de __________)
Some pea (un poco de arveja) Some rice (un poco de __________)

POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVE
NOTE: No deben confundir los adjetivos posesivos my, your, his, her, its, our, your, their, con
los pronombres posesivos vistos antes, Para ello tenga en cuenta este anlisis: Al decir "My notepad",
como pronombre "my" hace las veces de adjetivo que califica al sustantivo notepad especificando a
quien pertenece el quaderno, por lo tanto esta actando como adjetivo. Un adjetivo posesivo es usado
antes de un sustantivo, siempre termina con un sustantivo.
POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES modify nouns and answer the question "Whose...?". In Spansh they
must be repeated before each noun they modify. But not in English. LOS ADJETIVOS POSESIVOS modifican
sustantivos y contestan la pregunta " De quien...?". En espaol deben repetirse antes de cada sustantivo que se modifican.
Pero no en el Ingls.
