Dear Rotaract Leader,
Subject: Notification of DRRE 2017-2018 Election Process and announcement of
nominations of DRRE Designates
Please note the following updates for the DRRE 2017-2018 elections
1. The District Conference will continue to be held on 19th March 2017 as planned
before. The Annual Awards shall be held separately either in the District Assembly or in
an Awards Function, date of which would be announced later.
2. The following candidates qualified the criteria for DRRE 2017-2018 elections and
have duly adhered to the guidelines mentioned in the DRRE elections announcement mail
sent on 1st March 2017:-
1. Rtr. Ansh Mittal of Rotaract Club of Chandigarh
2. President Rtr.Daksh Garg of Rotaract Club of Chandigarh Midtown
3. IPP Rtr.Yashika Sagar of Rotaract Club of Chandigarh Shivalik
4. Rtr.Vipin Garg a.k.a Shanky Garg of Rotaract Club of Yamunanagar
5. PP Rtr.Vijay Arora of Rotaract Club of STIBAS
6. President Rtr. Ashutosh Mehta of Rotaract Club of SD College Ambala
3. The voting will be done through a secret ballot. Each Club shall carry only 1 vote.
Only the President or the Secretary of the club is allowed to vote. In case of President
absent in the election, the Secretary is expected to carry an authorization letter by the
Rotaract Club President on the club's letter head giving him or her the right to vote.
4. The candidates will be given 5 mins each to present their vision for the RIY 2017-
2018, on the podium. 3 minutes will be given for their vision and 2 mins for Open House.
The medium of the DRR Elect Designate's address can be English, Hindi or Punjabi.
Paper reading is allowed.
5. If at any point of time, any of the DRRE Designates wants to withdraw, they can do so,
on the spot before voting procedure is started.
6. The nominated candidate or the parent club is not allowed to canvass for votes as per
the RI guidelines. This will lead to termination of the candidature in case found doing so.
7. All the candidates are required to bring their Date of Birth certificate in the form of their Matric Marksheet

8. Any indiscipline or nuisance created by any of the candidates or their clubs will result in cancellation of their
candidate's nomination. The result of the elections will be final.

9. The Presidents are requested to vote on the basis of the presentations given by the candidates.

10. The Clubs who do not make it to the District Conference, will be barred from District Awards. The Election of
the DRR is supposed to be a democratic process where the presence of each President and his club is deemed
necessary. The District does not appreciate any of the clubs who have no concern for the District.

11. The Open House is meant to clarify any of the goals kept by the candidates in their address. No arguments or
personal comments or harassment of the candidates by any members in the audience will be entertained and will
lead to cancellation of the vote of the concerned club.
