must try to look on how the audiences respond to your speech.

reply to your speech.
THE QUESTIONAIRE
Here you provide some questions concerning to which will trap the audience to come upon your
speech.
1
The following are the reasons as to why it is important to consider the nature of the audience
during preparation for a presentation;
It help a speaker to choose appropriate topic, a speaker should make a choice of one of his or her
topic to introduce before the audience by considering the age, size and status of the audience so
as his or her information will be well understood, for example; when the audience have 6-10
years, a speaker should use a topic which will be understandable to the specific age by
considering their thinking capacity and knowledge which they have.
Helps a speaker to choose the language to be used, in audience analysis a speaker should use a
specific language to be used during his or her presentation cession so as everybody could
understand what what has been presented, in this issue status, occupation, age and education
level should be considered, because in each group different language is used according to their
type of language. For example; if the audience are old, slangs may not be used because no one
will catch the information.
It helps a speaker to choose mode or techniques to be used in order the audience to understand
what have been presented, a speaker should prepare different techniques in his or her
presentation so as the information presented should be well understandable .A speaker may use
jokes, asking questions and even singing during presentation for the purpose of awaken the
audiences feelings and mind so that the information could well understood.
It helps a speaker to understand or to know what size of volume of sound to be used (to balance
volume). The appropriate volume will vary depending on your size of audience, you need to
speak louder to the audience about 200than t the audience between 25,you also need to adopt
your volume to the environment if a noisy air condition is running you will need to increase
your volume to be heard and vice versa.
It enables a speaker to determine a time to used, in this presentation, a speaker get easy to
determine how long he or she will present after analyzing the audience b considering the type of
audience, for example; when audience are little children time consuming may be one or two
hours which is differ from adult who could survive to concentrate in presentation for even 3 -4
hours, so the audience analysis will help a speaker to know how long a presentation will be.
It enables a speaker to discover the information that can be used to build common ground
between audience and him or herself. This is important to a speaker because knowing the
background of the audience relating with the kind of information is going to be presented could
create a good relationship between a speaker and audience, so as the information will be well
understood. For example; when a speaker attend in the church to preach to before the audience
(followers) but apart from greeting according to how in the church greeting, he or she say
2
assalam Alay kum, surely will confuse the audience because the preacher do not consider the
audience interests.
It creates confidence to a speaker, knowing the nature of the audience would help a speaker to
create confidence of his or her presentation, because he or she already know the kind of the
audience that either are harsh, seriously or jokes so as to innovate different ways of presenting
what have been prepared to present confidently.
In fact oral presentation is very important to know the nature of the audience at large, this will
help a speaker to be very comfortable and confident ,failure to do so will lead to loss of points
and poor presentation.
