The DBS provides these events to help employers and managers of volunteers understand their
legal obligations and responsibilities, following safeguarding incidents. Our primary aim is to help
those who work with vulnerable groups; including children understand their referral duty.
To attend you should be responsible for managing safeguarding allegations. Do you: investigate
safeguarding incidents; alert safeguarding leads in the local authority and or the police; have
responsibility for any resulting disciplinary, or other such, action that leads to removal from your
organisation and make referrals to the DBS? Please confirm Yes No
Due to anticipated demand please consider sending key personnel only, we will contact successful
attendees before the event to confirm attendance.
