Deepak Jagbir Hooda (born 19 April 1995) is an Indian cricketer who plays for Ba
roda cricket team. He is an all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls right-ar
m off break. He played for the India Under-19 cricket team at the 2014 ICC Under
-19 Cricket World Cup. He was handed an IPL contract by the Rajasthan Royals in
February 2014. He made his debut for the Royals against the Kings XI Punjab on 1
0 April 2015 IPL.[1].
According to his coach, Sanjiv Sawant, Hooda is a "very accurate bowler".[2] Hoo
da is also known to be an agile fielder.[3] In his second match in IPL for Rajas
than Royals vs Delhi Daredevils He scored 54 of 25 balls and bowled 0 for 20 in
four overs and became the Man of the match.In the Third Match against Mumbai Ind
ians he got his Place as a two down Batsman and he scored 13 off 4 balls which s
ecured Rajasthan Royals an easy chase of 165 against Mumbai Indians.
He scored his first double-century in first-class cricket playing for Baroda in
the fourth round of the 2016 17 Ranji Trophy.[4]
