INSTRUCTION

A. Objective: Establish accessible academic programs and mechanisms that ensure

continuing improvement in the quality of teaching and learning responsive to
changing student needs.

Strategies:

1. Rationalize and enhance academic programs

2. Strengthen instructional management and leadership competence of faculty
3. Establish new infrastructures

Activities:

1. Evaluate and comprehensively review the BSIT program to determine its

continuing relevance to the changing needs and demands of the industry.
2. Recommend new academic programs such as the Bachelor of Science in
Computer Science and Bachelor of Science in Information System to be
offered.
3. Conduct a more focused faculty competence assessment.
4. Design and implement a faculty re-tooling program.
5. Conduct alumni tracer studies periodically.
6. Undertake a feedback mechanism on instruction and academic programs.
7. Construct additional computer laboratories and a multimedia laboratory
equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
8. Upgrade facilities in the existing computer laboratories.

Outcomes:

1. Readiness for accreditation

2. Employability of graduates
3. Excellent passing percentage in the Philippine Information Technology General
Certification Examination (PHIL-IT GCE) and in the Philippine TVET
Competency Assessment and Certification for ICT.

RESEARCH

A. Objective: Improve Research, Development, and Extension (RDE) capacity

Strategies:

a. Improve RDE Programs.

b. Install support facilities for RDE
c. Manage properly of RDE programs
d. Utilize and commercialize research outputs
e. Established Partnership

Activities:

a. Define the needed research and development agenda

 b. Build the capacity of faculty members to undertake research activities
c. Equip RDE units in the university with the necessary support facilities
d. improve management capability
e. assess the capability needs of faculty members related to RDE
f. Disseminate research outputs through the internet, publish in refereed
journals, and share through other media forms.
g. Pursue joint ventures with the private sector

STUDENT SERVICES

A. Objective: Improve student services for effective delivery of quality education

a. Guidance Counseling and Placement Office and Program established.

Activities:

a. Define the needed research and development agenda

b. Build the capacity of faculty members to undertake research activities
c. Equip RDE units in the university with the necessary support facilities

Outcomes:

LIBRARY SERVICES

A. Objective: Develop a state of the art library that promotes intellectual

advancement, productive learning, relevant researches, and quality education

Strategies:

a. Compile a wide array of library resources.

b. Enhance and improve e-library, internet, and audio-visual services
c. Establish an integrated computer-based library system

Activities:

a. Acquire computer units and periodically upgrade hardware/software to

support a more efficient ICT system
b. Hardware and software for library automation shall be acquired.
c. Training and skills upgrading of library personnel in the operation of
automated library shall be undertaken.
