SAMPLES OF LEARNERS WORK

In the teaching-learning process, learners work plays the most

important role. This is on way of assessing the students performance for that

certain subject matter. Either they have absorbed the information from the

deliberations or need further discussion among the teacher and the learners,

evaluate the students standing; the strengths and weaknesses in that certain

topic. Teacher can also determine how the students are responsive to the task

assigned to them.

Somehow, some factors are to be considered in terms of assessing the

teacher and students performance. In my case, I often give an evaluation to

my students just right after the discussion as part of my lesson plan to

determine if they have absorbed the information or if theyve jotted down

some important information in their lecture notes. But, as part of the traditional

ways of teaching, teachers give an evaluation either projects, activities,

assignments, chapter test, long quiz, or unit test aside from the periodical

examination in every quarter of the school year.

More prominently, the learners work is one way of determining if both

the teacher and students were able to attain the objectives of the topic

intended for that day. Recalling back my erudition in my education subjects

way back from my first year to third year, Ive learned that learners work
serves as the echo of the teachers performance, since it gives a view as to

how the teacher executed his/her teaching strategies, methods, techniques,

and approaches during the process. It also gives a replication to the teacher if

he/she is an effective one.

This will reflect also my views stands and personality as a teacher. It is

necessary to know yourself better. To be more accurate I know that many

years will pass and people whom I know and the things I do may not be

Most of all, I would also like to give my great gratitude to the Almighty God

Our Father for the blessings that He shower upon me and gives me more

strengths to face the reality, thank you.

My Teaching Philosophy
My philosophy in teaching starts from how I have passion in teaching and

as well as in learning, its also includes LOVE and CARE because everything

will follows if we have these values. I also believe that students will learn more

effectively if the teachers have these qualities.

I truly believe that every child is uniquely made with talents, abilities, skills

and values. That they are precious in a way that God made them. That every

child is capable of doing things in an objective and subjective way.

I believe that my values as a teacher with respect to dealings with my

students are being kindhearted in a way that I am able to accept my students

and treated them equally regarding of where they are came from and giving

them importance and love most especially the respect. Capable of imparting

them wisdom and love. Being good in treating my students in a way that it

couldn't harm them and with a sense of being their second mother. Being a

lovable teacher for my students is my task to facilitate the development of

every student and will serve as their mentors for them to become a better

individual. Helping them to love and acquire learning through giving them an

activities that is suited to their capacities and abilities, for them to motivate to

love learning.

My Story: Journey to Become a Teacher

Being a teacher is what I wanted to be. Thats why I getting education as

my course. There are a lot of people who influences me to become a teacher.

I love to learn most especially the English subject. In entering in college life, at

first I'm nervous and there are some thought that comes into my mind. I ask

myself if I can carry this course or not? But there is only a hope that I am sure

I will do my best to become a teacher. As the months goes by, Im now

appreciating becoming a teacher. I have learned many things to become a

teacher such as principle of teaching, facilitating learning and curriculum

development.

As the years goes by, many challenges came up. Im facing the toughest

time of my life becoming a teacher. Im about to give up, but my family is my

strength they cheer me up and give some advice and it helps me not to give

up. During that time I think that God is always good and I always ask and pray

for His blessings that I can surpass the entire obstacle that I will encounter

becoming a teacher.

Many seminars I have attended, after reminiscing the things. I have

realized that becoming a teacher is not about memorizing and analyzing all

the things about teaching, but realizing that God put me into a mission that I

am capable of imparting knowledge and wisdom to others.

My journey on becoming a teacher is not yet done its just only the
beginning of the chapter of becoming a teacher. Because every day is an

experiences and every day could make changes in my life becoming a

teacher. With that Im giving up all to God.

REFLECTIVE JOURNALS
I have learned the education is best acquired by giving opportunities to

experience. The school have facilities and it is worthy because students are

developing holistically. They have moral attitudes after finishing their studies.

Moral ethics is also integrated with their lesson which made them a good and

moral people of country.

I have also learned that there are many strategies that can make your

classroom management balance. After the instruction given by the teacher I

come to realize that it was good to have discoveries in implementing rules,

instructions and classroom setting. And by having a lot of instructional

materials in teaching can cater a wide interaction between the teacher and the

student.

Change is truly the only one which is not permanent. But make sure that

change you made most are the good ones. Being stagnant with the old

practices is not bad but integrating 21st century skills are truly needed.

Holistic change is the very objective of each school. It is only achieved by the

best teacher. The tour experiences are just the start of a becoming good

teacher. It is very important and profitable for me to have those experiences

and learnings for me to integrate it with my practice teaching and for the

future teaching.
CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT

In my first week in MNHS as a practice teacher, I have observed that my

teacher organize her class well. After observing the students and my

cooperating teacher I have listed some ways on how to deal with the learners

and of course the classroom management. In the second week of January, I

have started my actual teaching by giving my rules to the students and its

hard at first because my voice is not too loud to have an effective classroom

management.

After my first day of teaching my cooperating teacher suggested me and

commenting me that I need to louder my voice and always wear my smile to

lessen the fear of the students to cooperate during discussion.

On the next day of my actual teaching. I have encountered some students

having a bad attitude. I can handle them rightly but I tried well. There are

some students that are easy to handle but most of them are not.

Some classes are participative and assertive. Some classes can easily

understand and others are not, because they cannot easily understand the

medium that I was used thats why I tried to transfer it to them. I always find

some ways and strategies for them to learn easily. After 3 days I have planned

to use other strategies to well organize classroom management.

ACTUAL TEACHING
Experiences can build personal and professional development of a

person. As I experienced to become a teacher having my actual teaching in

MNHS. It builds and develops me holistically and exposes myself to the real

world of teaching.

In my experience as a student teacher. I have encountered many difficulties

especially in classroom management. I am very great to have my cooperating

teacher because she mentored me well to develop my capacities and abilities

to teach. It is good to have feedback on how I teach. In every comments and

suggestions I accept it fully in my heart and mind to inculcate it and practice

well.

My practice teaching is just a first step in opening the world of teaching.

These experiences can build up my competence in teaching and not only

teaching but to have love and care for the students.

In my experiences I always remember to love first the students. In that they

are capable and motivate to listen during the class.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND SEMINARS

As a future educator, extracurricular activities are needed too. In my

experience in practice teaching, extracurricular activities are needed and also

applied.

Seminars and trainings are also needed in the part of life of teachers. This

could help the personal growth and professional growth of an individual. Im

very thankful for the seminars and trainings provided by our school Ramon

Magsaysay Memorial Colleges M.I and with this it could help also teachers to

provide quality education to our students.

As my staff in MNHS, my cooperating teacher always says that I should

learn extracurricular activities in school because its needed and I can use it in

my actual teaching. As time goes by, I tend to experience some extracurricular

activities in the school and it helps me a lot and my cooperating teacher

guides me always.

NARRATIVE REPORT FROM JANUARY TO FEBRUARY

In my first week in MNHS is good. My cooperating teacher is nice and

approachable, she welcomed me also the students. I have observed classes

and they are very active and respectful. For my first day of stay there, I just

only observed classes and listen to all the advices of my cooperating teacher.

In my second day of staying my teacher instruct me to guide the students

for their activity because she will not be around. I was shocked because they

are so noisy and I dont know what to do, but still I manage them. I wonder

how my cooperating teacher handle them I thought that the teacher is very

good and effective to handle these kinds of students. I cant imagine myself if

how could I manage these kinds of students, but because of the advices of

my cooperating teacher it gives me strength and hope.

In third day, some students ask me if I will teach them, and I said yes.

They are all excited and its good to the heart that they are happy. During the

class my cooperating teacher introduces me in the class that I will teach them

for how many weeks. Deep inside Im happy because I will totally impart my

knowledge and learnings to the students.

In my fourth day until we finished the 2 weeks of observation my

supervising teacher told us to start our actual teaching. I was nervous that

day, but I told to myself that I can do it and I prepared everything for my actual

teaching.
