We arrived on scene and made contact with V-1, (later ID'ED as Reza Michael JANATTI) who stated that he
wanted OPD to stand-by as he retrieve his personal belongings from a storage unit. JANATTI stated that he did
ot have access to the storage unit and was not able to get inside of the unit.
JANATT! stated that he was working for $1, (described as Zachary GOSSLIN) when they got into @ verbal

face and took JANATT's motoreyele, Veh-t (described as a Suzuki Intruder Motorcycle, CA Lic. # I) and
pushed it in to the hallway near GOSSLIN's storage unit.
JANATTI was not able to get his motorcycle out of the storage unit because he was not listed on the lease of the
storage unit and only GOSSLIN was the only person authorized to access the storage unit. JANATTI stated that
he attempted to call GOSSLIN on his cell phone, but was unable to get in contact with him.
| made contact with an employee ofthe storage facility, O-1, (later IDED as QUINN who stated that
JANATTI may look in the hallway where his motorcycle might have been placed. JANATTI located his
motorcycle near GOSSLIN's storage unit and took possession of his motorcycle. | verified JANATTI'S
registration and VIN number on the motorcycle and it was a positive match.
JANATTI noticed that the leather seat on his motorcycle was slashed and it was not there prior to GOSSLIN
taking possession of the motorcycle. JANATTI did not see GOSSLIN slash his leather seat on his motorcycle,
but provided a written statement that states the following not in verbatim
(On 19 Jan 16, at about 1800 hrs, JANATTI arrived at (JIINIEMIBEB to do some work for GOSSLIN. GOSSLIN is

SUMMARY. ON TIFEBI6 AT ABOUT 2155 HRS, | RESPONDED 70 QEMAAIRE To nvesricare
AREPORT OF AN ASSAULT.
UPON ARRIVAL, | MET W/ THE RP, PHILICIA DAVIS, V-1, WHO TOLD ME THAT TODAY AROUND 0900
HRS AT HER PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT, CASTLEMONT COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION SCHOOL (8601
MACARTHUR BLVD) SHE WAS AT WORK TO PICK UP HER PAYCHECK AND ALSO TO GET A
TERMINATION LETTER FROM THE SCHOOL, AS WELL AS SOME PERSONAL BELONGINGS. DAVIS HAD
GIVEN A LETTER OF RESIGNATION TO THE SCHOOL A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO STATING THAT TODAY
WOULD BE HER LAST DAY DUE TO SOME TEACHING ISSUES W/ THE SCHOOL. WHEN DAVIS
‘ARRIVED AT WORK, SHE WAS FOLLOWED UP TO THE 2ND FLOOR WHERE HER OFFICE IS LOCATED
BY A TEACHER, LATOYA WALTON, S-1, WHOSE CLASS IS ON THE 1ST FLOOR. WALTON WAS YELLING
AT DAVIS, TELLING HER TO LEAVE. WALTON'S MOTHER, LISAHAYNES, IS THE CEO OF THE SCHOOL
WHOM DAVIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN SPEAKING TO REGARDING THE TERMINATION LETTER, BUT
INSTEAD, SHE WAS CONFRONTED BY WALTON. WALTON WALKED UP TO DAVIS IN A THREATENING.
MANNER. THE SCHOOL SECURITY GUARD, "BOO" HAD TO STEP IN TO STOP HER FROM GETTING IN
DAVIS' FACE. WALTON STARTED SWINGING CLOSED FISTS AT DAVIS AROUND THE SECURITY
GUARD, AND DAVIS WAS STRUCK ON HER NECK AND SHOULDERS, THE SECURITY GUARD WAS
‘ABLE TO GET WALTON AWAY FROM DAVIS, BUT SHE CONTINUED TO FOLLOW DAVIS AROUND,
DAVIS HAD CALLED THE POLICE PRIOR FORA CIMIL STAND BY, BUT THEY DID NOT RESPOND WHILE
SHE WAS THERE. DAVIS WAS TOLD TO LEAVE THE PREMISIS BY THE SCHOOL, SO SHE WENT HOME
‘AND CALLED THE POLICE AGAIN. I TOOK A STATEMENT FROM DAVIS. (SEE DAVIS’ STATEMENT)
DAVIS ADVISED THAT SHE WAS NOT INJURED AND DID NOT HAVE ANY VISIBLE INJURIES, BUT SHE
WAS ABLE TO RECORD WALTON ON VIDEO W/ HER PHONE, DAVIS WASN'T ABLE TO GET WALTON
ASSAULTING HER ON VIDEO, BUT RECORDED RIGHT AFTER SHE WAS SEPERATED FROM DAVIS BY
SECURITY. | SAW THE VIDEO AND IT SHOWS AFB IN HER 30'S WHOM DAVIS ADVISED WAS WALTON,
IRATE AND UPSET, YELLING AT DAVIS.
IADVISED DAVIS TO SAVE THE RECORDING ON HER PHONE. SHE ALSO ADVISED THAT THE SCHOOL,
HAS VIDEO SURVEILLANCE,Printed by: o6s4037 i Page 4of 4

SINCE DAVIS WAS NOT INJURED AND DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY VISIBLE INJURIES, NO MEDICAL
ATTENTION OR ATECH FOR PHOTOS WAS REQUESTED.
SHE DOES NOT KNOW WHY WALTON ATTACKED HER AS THERE HAS NEVER BEEN ANY PROBLEM
BETWEEN THEM BEFORE. DAVIS DOES NOT UNDERSTAND WHY WALTON FOLLOWED HER
UPSTAIRS AND STARTED A CONFRONTATION
DAVIS ADVISED SHE WANTS TO PRESS CHARGES.
SINCE THE INCIDENT HAPPENED EARLIER TODAY, AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION, NO KNOWN
WITNESSES WERE LOCATED.
| GAVE DAVIS A RESOURCE CARD, AS WELLAS A MARCY'S LAW CARD AND ADVISED OF A
RESTRAINING ORDER,
APPARENTLY, DAVIS WAS CONFRONTED AND PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED BY WALTON, A FELLOW
EMPLOYEE, FOR NO APPARENT REASON, WHEN DAVIS ONLY WANTED HER LAST PAYCHECK,
PERSONAL BELONGINGS, AND A TERMINATION LETTER.

Upon my arrival | saw LANDRY, Troyetta (S-1) and RODRIGUEZ, Genvieve (V-1) hugging each other
underneath the awning of a building located at Lake Merritt JOHNSON, Aaron (W-1) confirmed that the two
above females were the cause of the 911 call, S-1 immediately became hostile once myself and responding
officers arrived on scene. After asking both parties to separate S-1 became defiant and refused to obey
‘commands. Due to the nature of the call and the violence associated I detained S-1 and placed her in the rear of
the patrol vehicle.
After S-1 and V-1 were separated, W-1 told me the following
(On 08 Jan 15 at about 1800 hours W-1 was walking his dogs at Lake Merritt when he heard S-1 and V-1 ina
verbal dispute. As W-1 looked closer he saw S-1 strike V-1 in the headiface area multiple times with an open
hand. W-1 could not hear what the basis of the altercation was and could not determine if any threats to either
party was made. Due to it being dark, W-1 is uncertain ithe can identify S-1. See PORD statement for further
details
| questioned \-1 as to the details of what occurred and she refused fo cooperate. V-1 denied that any argument
took place and stated that no violence occurred. V-1 refused medical attention and | did not see bruising or
scars
After being detained S-1 continued to exhibit hostile behavior towards myself and other officers on scene. AS |
attempted to question S-1 as to what occurred she made multiple derogatory remarks and refused to answer
my questions. S-1 refused medical attention and | did not see bruising or scars. S-1 did confirm that herself and
V-1 were in a dating relationship
Based on my preliminary investigation, observations and statements made by W-1, S-1 was arrested for PC243.
(E)(1) - DOMESTIC BATTERY.
S-1 was transported fo Santa Rita Jail by Ofe. M. Nuon and Ofe, K. Carter (201).
5-1 and V-1 would not accept @ blue OPD contact resource card. V-1 also refused to accept the OPD Victims of
Violence resource.
