Calculation Summary of P167 Foundation
Bored piles in this P167 foundation are arranged in a group consisting of two rows each consist
of two piles, as can be seen on this figure below.

From the results above, the axial reaction from group analysis is still less than capacity of pile in
a group. So, the pile can be considered safe from axial loading from upper structure.

2. Longitudinal Direction
Flexural moment in longitudinal direction from the axial reactions of each pile is already covered
by the pier structure on pile-cap. Hence, the flexural reinforcement is sufficient by using the
minimum requirement.

SAFE
Based on the calculation above, this pile cap is still be able to withstand the occurring shear force.
Therefore, a shear confinement is not required.

The total settlement of the pile group is then the sum of the immediate and consolidation
settlements calculated for each separate layer.

consolidation calculation:
Liquefaction Check
Liquefaction occurs if there is top soil layers (depth 0-20m) of a loose sand layers (NSPT<15).
There is no loose sand layers found according to the boring log BL-05 data, thus liquefaction will
not occur.
