1.2 LED signals
The powering of the router, the start-up of the system software and the operation of the
router are indicated by flashing LEDs as follows:
The system boot may take up to 60-90 seconds. Please always wait until the end of
booting!
As soon as the St. LED lights up solid green, the booting process is completed, the
operation of the device is stable, and the network services are available you can connect
to the router.
5
To log in, enter the above data, then click on the button.
After logging in, the most important characteristics of the basic operation status of
the router are shown on the starting screen.
6
Chapter 2: Router network settings
The LAN network (br-lan interface) shows the Ethernet network settings.
The WAN network (eth1 interface) means the LTE Internet setting. Currently, the
device connects to the Internet via this route.
The network traffic statistics indicated beside the LAN and WAN labels show that
the device creates traffic on these interfaces. Next to the IPv4 the currently set IP
address can be seen.
7
The firewall function, whose settings can be found in more detail in the chapter
Setting the firewall, is active for all network interfaces. By default, the router uses
IPv4 protocol on the Ethernet port, although it is also possible to set IPv6.
Using the right hand side buttons, you can stop (Stop) or edit (Edit) the current
network connections.
8
To configure the Ethernet (LAN) interface, choose the button nest to LAN.
here you can change the default 192.168.127.1 address of the router (IPv4
address) to an individual IP address according to the given sub-network.
To set it up, click on the Save & Apply button at the bottom of the page.
On the General Settings tab, under Status, confirm that eth1 interface is shown
for the LTE module, and DHCP client is set in the Protocol field.
9
On the Advanced Settings tab, the Bring up on boot function should be active
(initialize the LTE module on booting), as well as the Use default gateway and the
Use DNS servers advertised by peer switches.
To change settings, click on the Save & Apply button.
On the Physical Settings tab, make sure that the Ethernet adapter eth1 (wan)
option is set in the Interface field.
To change settings, click on the Save & Apply button.
On the LTE Settings tab, the value of the Modem device should be /dev/ttyACM0
so that the modem can connect to the network.
The content of the APN field is provided by the mobile operator for the given SIM
card. Fill in the field accordingly.
In the PIN field, the PIN code (if applicable) relevant to the SIM data card can be
entered.
To change settings, click on the Save & Apply button.
10
In this case, the modem is initialized again, which may take up to 30 seconds.
During configuration of the modem, the LTE LED flashes green.
As soon as configuration is successful, the LTE LED lights up with solid green.
If red light can be seen, there is a connection problem with the LTE network. In this
case, restore the previous setting, or set a correct configuration that is valid for the
SIM card.
2.3 WiFi network configuration (only for the version with a WiFi module!)
The WiFi module can optionally be ordered for the router. If your device has this
option, in the Network menu open Wifi. Here you can check the settings of the
available WiFi network.
You can change the WiFi password under the Interface Configuration tab
located in the middle of the page, on the Wireless Security tab, within the Key
field, by entering the new password. If changing the encryption level is also
necessary, you can select other encryption options in the Encryption field.
11
Chapter 3: Configuration of other services
3.1 Setting up port forwarding
Port forward rules can be defined on the Port forwards tab, under Network /
Firewall.
To perform this, the number of the Protocol, the Input/Output interface and the
Input/Output port should be entered. Thus each port can be forwarded arbitrarily.
In the System menu, open Reboot. Here you can restart the router by clicking on
the Perform reboot link.
After reboot, the device logs out the user from the web interface, and they have
to log in again with the valid password.

3.3 Password change

Chapter 4: Important information
Default addresses
The default IP address of the router on the Ethernet port is 192.168.127.1, which
can be accessed on the local web interface via the HTTP port 8888. After setting the
root password, it is also possible to connect to the router using SSH/Telnet client via
port 22.
WiFi
WiFi function is optional for the router device. If your router has this function, the
default mode is AccessPoint, to which other clients can be connected. The WPA2
password for the default M2M_Pro3 SSID is: M2MPro_123. By default, the WiFi
interface is bridged to the Ethernet, therefore it is not visible as an individual wlan0
interface.
Antenna usage
To ensure the appropriate operation of the WiFi and LTE services, always use the
specified types of antennas. Without the right antennas, the router is unable to
communicate on the network. The 450MHz LTE module MIMO has 2 antenna
connectors, so it is recommended to use 2 external antennas in order to ensure the
stability of the connection.
Modem handling
14
If the modem is not working, that is, the eth1 interface belonging to the LTE modem
is missing, the router reboots after 5 minutes. In this case, the operation LED flashes
red in every 10 seconds, showing that a reboot will be performed as soon as the
timing is up. If there is no modem configured, then the Pro3 will not reboot.
