Project Human Resource Management


- This processes group includes processes to organize, manage and lead a project
team. It also assigns roles and responsibilities for completing project. Besides, it
does resource leveling also.

- IT is very important to understand roles and responsibilities of the team and links to
the team and should able to communicate that to all affected people. Few important
roles associated with Project are: Sponsor, Management Team, executive/leadership
team, Project Team, Project Manager, functional manager.

6.1 Develop Human Resource Plan


- It is a process of identifying and documenting project roles, responsibilities and
required skills.
- It prepares organizational chart as well as It prepares staffing management plan
(i.e. when to hire and when to discharge)
- It identifies training needs, team building strategies, compliance consideration,
safety issues and impact of the plan to the organization.
- It has to find resources from inside or outside the organization performing
projects
- By doing this, the project cost, schedule, risks, quality and other areas are greatly
affected.

- Obtaining the human resources needed to complete the project.

Project Management Team / Leadership team
- It is a subset of Project Team which is responsible for Project Management and
leadership activities of all process groups. The Project Sponsor works with the
Project Management Team. Such team is responsible for influencing project teams &
professional and ethical behaviors.

- This process is for improving the competencies and interaction of team members
to enhance project performance.
