MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS (MDG)

2015 PROGRESS REPORT

The Millennium Development Goals, created by the United Nations, are a global effort in addressing poverty, especially in developing countries. These are goals that promote human rights
and that are meant to be attained within 15 years. So far, this has been the most successful movement to reduce poverty. This has also paved way for the creation of the Sustainable Development
Goals.

Objectives of the MDGs:


To address extreme poverty and its aspects and put a stop to them To address issues related to education, health, gender, the environment, etc.
To address the needs of the poorest in the world and to save them from the abject and To protect our planet
dehumanizing conditions of extreme poverty
