There is a well-known quote which states be yourself; because an original is worth more
than a copy. I strongly subscribe to this philosophy as it aptly fits who I am; a talented,
exceptional leader who strives for success.

I am a personable and astute student with proven time management, collaboration and
leadership skills. As a student I have been fortunate to have been selected for a number of
leadership roles. In these roles I have firstly been an advocate for my peers while embodying the
school values and motto. My duties include active involvement in school and community
activities. I also pride myself on being an attentive listener to my peers. I sincerely believe that
my ability to befriend persons and gain their trust is the main reason why I would be an
exceptional global leader. This personal trait of mine was truly discovered when I started music
producing two years ago. During this period I improved my networking and collaboration skills
immensely. Since then, I have worked with hundreds of artistes and fellow music producers
worldwide, ranging from persons in Australia, Canada, United States and Poland. The
opportunity to work with other people is a great pleasure to me as I want to get as many persons
engaged with music as possible. As such, I have recently co-founded a music production club at
my school where students are encouraged to showcase their musical talents, interact with other
musicians and also learn from each other.

I am organized, efficient and driven and as such I strive to meet and surmount any
challenges presented while maintaining the highest standards. This was why I was recently asked
to do peer tutoring. In this regard I have provided learning assistance to young children in
different academic subjects. Ironically, from my time teaching younger children I recognize that
one of the most important factor in leadership is learning from your peers as well as from
experienced persons. The John f. Kennedy quote perfectly showed how important learning is to
leading, Leading and learning are indispensable to each other. Consequently, I have already
read 8 Lessons in Military Leadership by Robert Kyosaki twice and plan to read this book and
others like it frequently, so I can learn from persons with years of experience how to improve my
leadership skills.
At Drexel University I hope to study Environmental Science as a major and
Entrepreneurship and Innovation as minor. Despite appearing to be unrelated, both the courses
are perfectly aligned with the dreams I have for my life and also the dreams I have to better my
country. Firstly I plan to use my environmental science knowledge to inspire permanent change
in Jamaica as change has been well needed. Jamaica suffers from deforestation and severe
pollution. Being raised in Jamaica it was customary to see persons dispose of garbage
improperly. A goal of mine from a tender age was to seen this change. I have always tried to
instigate change by telling friends and family members not to dump garbage on the road, or in
waterways.

However this was futile as persons refused to listen to a child. I knew one day I would be
able to curb this problem and as such I chose subjects such as Geography to direct me in correct
path to be in a position to instigate change. Studying Environmental Science at Drexel University
would give definitely give me the right tools to help my country. My goal is not only to curb the
pollution problem my country face, but to permanently change the mentality of persons so we
could all enjoy a cleaner environment.

Another goal of mine is to provide jobs for my country. I hope to achieve this by studying
entrepreneurship at Drexel University. I feel this is a responsibility of mine to decrease the
employment rate in my country. I aspire to be the leader of businesses as well and organizations
such as environmental protection agency. My greatest desire in life is know that I initiated
lifelong changes and impacted thousands of lives. To do this I realized entrepreneurship is
undeniably a great way to this goal.

In addition to physically giving back to my country I hope to inspire numerous persons

along the way. Knowing that I am the inspiration for persons to study environmental science and
entrepreneurship would be my greatest delight. This goal of mine to inspire persons is perfectly
summarized by John Quincy Adams as he asserted, If your actions inspire others to dream
more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.

Studying at Drexel University would be a major step in me giving back to my country.

Finally I would no longer be ignored, and would have sufficient knowledge to initiate change in
how persons view the environment.
I believe I would be a great asset to Drexel University for several reasons. I have
experienced being a leader through involvement in clubs, being a part of group and class
presentations and community projects. I have positively influenced my peers, helped resolved
disputes and lead teams.
