2.0 Overview
The PRSQC_ v1.14.fas tool is used to Quality Control CAD Planning Data (Plots, Roads, Route
& Service Corridors) drawings according to Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) Planning Data
(Plots, Roads, Route & Service Corridors) CAD Data Delivery Standards. The tool is provided
to the users as an integral attachment to these standards and as such must be used in
conjunction with the specifications document.
The users on completion of their drawings have the ability to directly QC their work prior
delivery, ensuring that the drawings are free of errors. The tool might be subject to updates
and improvements hence the letter v in the tool file name represents the version of the
release. Each version, release of the tool carries an embedded functionality to inform the users
of the correspondent CAD Data Delivery Standard document version that is to be used in
conjunction with the tool. Example the current standards document version is v2.0 the current
QC Tool release is v1.14, the tool when used will state that the tool functionalities are updated
to work with the delivery specification version 1.14 and above. The users can contact the GIS
Service Desk at Gis_Services@adm.abudhabi.ae, to make sure that they have the latest
release of the specification, tool and users manual.
The tool is developed in Lisp programming language allowing the users to QC the drawing files
directly in AutoCAD software environment. This user manual is developed to assist users with
the correct use of the PRSQC tool and interpretation of the errors report generated by the
application.

3.0 Using QC Tool
To load and utilize PRSQC _v1.14.fas do the following:
open the drawing in AutoCAD,

in the interface Command line type "APPLOAD" and press "Enter" (see Figure 1)

The "APPLOAD" command will open the Load/Unload application (see Figure 2), in the
application window:
browse to the folder where you stored the CAD QC Tool file "PRSQC_V1.x.fas"
Select the file and click on "Load" button.

You should receive a message in the Command line that the PRSQC_V1.14x.fas is
successfully loaded.
Click close the Load/Unload application
The AutoCAD Text window will appear (Figure 3). In the text window:
type "QC" in command line

press "ENTER"

The QC tool will perform several checks on the drawing file uploaded against the CAD data
delivery specifications and return a report in .err format (see Figure 4 & 5). The report will be
automatically loaded and opened in Notepad and automatically saved in your computer local
directory c:\temp folder.
NOTE: Make sure you create the c:\temp folder if you would like to retrieve the reports
automatically saved by the application. Alternatively manually save the reports in any other
folders in your computer.

4.0 QC Report Contents

The QC report lists a number of important information from tool and specification version to
detailed list of errors. In this chapter the report contents are explained in detail.

In Figure 6 above, the report header is showing principal information such as:

The middle tier of the error report groups the error founds in the process in four different
categories, these are:
1. General Errors
2. Attribute Errors
3. Geometry Errors
4. Logical Errors
For each of error category a column is provided (see Figure 7) with the following information:
- a clear description,
- an error count, that shows how many errors have been found in the same category
- and a Layer name were the errors is found

4.1 General Errors Description

4.3 Geometry Errors Description

Polygon without area or with areas equal to 0 are found in

5.0 Using EXTRACTDATA Tool
