PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

In the regional IRD Derivatives, the candidate will be responsible for preparing all tasks related to settlements and
investigations for entities covered by Bangalore

Within Corporate & Investment Banking branch of Socit Gnrale, OPER/OTC/CRD is looking for a back officer on rate
market derivatives in order to ensure the treatment of back office settlements on vanilla and exotic operations.

Every product dealt with a client has to be settled within the cut-off with correct financial and legal characteristics of
the deal. Then settlement is a key element of Front to Back chain.

You will be affected to the settlement desk, in contact with Middle and Front Offices (based in Paris, London and New-
York) who initiate operations. You will also be in relation with their banks and corporate clients.
In a dynamic environment, the person will be more specifically in charge of the following tasks :

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Entities: Paris, Seoul, Tokyo, HK, Taipei, Singapore and China

Products handled : All Rates Derivatives ( Vanilla & Exotic )

1. You will be in charge of a whole portfolio of clients for whom you will handle the settlement process.
(Sending, chasing, dealing with breaks and matching).

2. You will deal with the settlement and be in relation with FO, counterparties, IT Team. You will analyze
and solve the beraks and monitor treasury incidents. You will take in charge the necessary chasing in
order to match the settlements within appropriate deadlines.

3. You will anticipate and prevent incidents that might impact the clients satisfaction.

4. In cooperation with Middle Offices and Front Offices, You will be responsible for the follow up of
breaks on your perimeter and matching of the deals.

5. You will be the key contact for customers on your portfolio for interest rate derivative end to end
settlements.

6. One objective of the back office is to grant a great quality service to our customers. You will
contribute to the continuous improvement of the process.

KEY SKILL AREAS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

Relevant experience in derivatives and commodity products and processing.

Good product knowledge in Interest Derivatives
Working knowledge of ISDA documentation and settlements/confirmations.
Knowledge of Capital Markets with exposure to Derivative products (OTC), Reconciliations,
Accounting would be an added advantage
MS Office applications
Team player with good communication skills
Accuracy and attention to detail, especially in relation to legal language
Excellent prioritization and categorization skills necessary
Self-starter (i.e. after initial managerial direction, candidate is able to complete assigned tasks,
identify issues not addressed and escalate appropriately.)
Reliable & motivated
Ability to be flexible in dealing with a complex product, to think on the fly and adjust to changing
requirements
Team player with a positive attitude
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to effectively and extensively interact with all
levels (from entry level analysts through managing directors)
