TUTORING ACTIVITY PLAN for: Logan

Tutoring Time: 1 hours

ELA Objectives (for St. Agnes student):


Following a read aloud of The Cat in the Hat and a review of rhyming words, Logan will complete a game of
memory, matching rhyming words together with an accuracy of 8 out of 10 matching sets matched correctly.

Describe the activity in each section and indicate high/low technology being used for each part of the activity:

Warm-up (2 min) Logan will be read the story The Cat in the Hat and we will discuss words
that he finds throughout the story that match. We will discuss why those
words match and how he could tell.

Pre-Test (5 min) Using a Kahoot, Logan will play against a partner and determine if a set
of words match or not. He will have to choose true or false on his
electronic device.

Review of Prior To review Logans prior knowledge, we will look at a list of five words

Following a discussion on where Logan sees and uses money in his life, we will play a game of shopping
where Logan will go to different stations and buy items. He will have to give the cashier the proper amount of
money to pay for the item with an accuracy of 8 out of 10 objects correctly paid for.

Warm-up (2 min) We will have a discussion with Logan on where he sees money in his life
and where he uses it. This will get Logan in the mindset of thinking about
the different coins there are.

Pre-Test (5 min) Using a Kahoot, Logan and a partner will be shown a picture of a coin and
he will have to determine the name of it. He will also be shown an amount
of a coin and he will have to choose the correct coin that matches the
amount shown.

Review of Prior To review prior knowledge, we will go over each coin and the value each
