The first meeting of the Cambridge deafblind coffee group was held on June 29th, 2017 at the Cambridgeshire Deaf Association in Cambridge from 1:30-3:00pm. The group was set up and run by Deafblind/dual sensory impaired people through the company Deafblind Perspectives. The coffee group helps celebrate Deafblind awareness week, raise the profile of deafblind peoples' skills, launch the Deafblind Perspectives website and red and white cane jewelry, and promote a deafblind peoples' quilt making challenge for the Guinness book of records. Free tea, coffee and cake were provided.
